Umno Terbaru is really singing the DAP’s praises to party delegates. Mat Hasan started the ball rolling yesterday at the four-day Umno general assembly now happening in WTC.
The following tweets by four different news organizations record the Umno deputy president‘s Stockholm Syndrome.

But where is our country’s political centre?
The majority race is Malay, and their majority electoral support (54%) is given to PN. Umno is in BN which has 33% Malay support, and DAP is in PH which has a mere 11% Malay support.
This means PN represents the Malay mainstream while PH is at the liberal fringe. Therefore if Umno genuinely wants to pivot our nation back to “centrism”, then the party should be moving closer to PN which reflects Malay moderation.
And Umno should also be steering clear of DAP — the party of extreme political narratives and parti kaki fitnah.

Umno Terbaru appears to think that its new squeeze (the “sincere” DAP) is not at fault for its breakup with PAS from Pakatan Rakyat, and nor its subsequent breakup with Bersatu from Pakatan Harapan.

Tok Mat must be convinced that the third time is a charm. The DAP’s first relationship (2008–2016) failed because PAS bad. The DAP’s second relationship (2018–2020) failed because Bersatu bad too. But Umno vely gooooood.
The current and third DAP relationship – with Umno this time – will not fail because the Unity Government has put a wedding ring on it.
Now that Umno the original Malay party has hooked up with DAP the party supported by 94–97 percent of Chinese, you can drink to race relations reaching the height of harmony. Yamseng!
Unlike the disastrous previous engagements between DAP and PAS/Bersatu, Umno anticipates that its “faithful” pairing with DAP will last till death do them part.

Barely three months ago, Anwar’s cabinet minister Nga Kor Ming tweeted on 2 Oct 2022 (below) asking kenapa Umno julang pemimpin yang makan rasuah.
Another Anwar cabinet minister Hannah Yeoh also tweeted less than three months ago on 18 Oct 2022 (below) saying the Umno PM “salah guna kuasa”, adding that Umno practised “politic murahan”.
@NgaKorMing and @hannahyeoh are both DAP leaders. Yet Tok Mat strangely insists that it is PN fanning “sentimen jahat” against Umno.
‘KLEPTOKRAT’
Tok Mat also complained about Umno being branded a kleptocracy. Let’s see again.

DAP ni orang Melayu tahu fahaman dia. Boleh diterima juga sebahagian fahaman mereka ni dan ada yang memang bagus untuk tanahair. Yang susah nak diterima ialah tebiat suka mempersoalkan perutukan Perlembagaan Persekutuan serta mulut celupar tak tentu pasal hambur kata-kata nista pahit sepanjang masa terutamanya pandangan serong mereka terhadap pembudayaan agama orang Melayu. Tebiat suka memperlekehkan nilai-nilai keIslaman yang jadi amalan dan larangan orang Melayu juga tidak disenangi. Kurang beradab lah maksudnya. Manusia macam Nga Kor Ming, Hannah Yeoh dan LKS contoh terbaik. Kata nak “leave religion out of politics”, so do as you say lah. Let the Malays be with their religion. Orang Melayu tak pernah soal hal gereja, tokong dan kuil. Orang Melayu ni adab sopan dan adat budaya memang menjadi keutamaan dalam kehidupan. Ini dia sebab utama orang Melayu tak berapa berkenan dengan DAP. Kurang beradab! Orang Melayu di pekan dan bandar dah tak kesah sangat hal macam ni. Bukan dah liberal. Just dah tak kesah! Tapi di negeri-negeri Terengganu, Kelantan, Kedah, Perlis dan kawasan pedalaman negeri-negeri lain semenanjung, adab sopan dan adat budaya masih lagi menebal. Melayu pekat kata Helen.
Kalau dicanang selalu pemimpin Umno kleptokrat orang Melayu tak marah mana pun. Memang betul! Orang Melayu bukan buta walaupun ada ahli Umno yang dah dibutakan oleh pemimpin-pemimpin Melayu yang nak kekal berkuasa dan tamak haloba. Dan orang Melayu sendiri dah tolak Umno secara berjemaah pada PRU15. Sebab tu Umno tinggal 26 kerusi Parlimen aje hari ni. Dari 2008 orang Melayu dah mula tolak Umno (graf Helen). Asal nya disebabkan sikap dan sifat bongkak kuasa pemimpin-pemimpin Umno yang bila bercakap kurang pakai akal dan sikap pilih bulu dalam berkhidmat kepada masyarakat. Makin lama makin menjadi-jadi sikap buruk pemimpin Umno ni. Jadi bila PPBM dan PAS bergabung jadi PN pilihan dah ada. Pangkah aje lah. Kalau PAS sahaja tanpa PPBM tak laku juga PAS sahaja. PAS ni pula kadangkala nya terlebih taksub agama dalam berpolitik dan adakala mengata-ngata parti lawan dan orang Melayu sendiri juga. Yang tua bangka ni yang masih susah nak ubah macam Haji Hadi dan Nik Amar yang cakap berseloroh. Pada mereka ini nasihat tapi pada yang mendengar ada yang panas telinga juga. Walaupun begitu kita juga dapat lihat PAS ni juga sedang bergerak ketengah dengan meremajakan parti dengan pemimpin muda dan idea bersifat nasional dan diterima baik oleh masyarakat Melayu keseluruhan nya. Ini yang patut dirunsingkan oleh PH dan Umno!
Umno ni ahli akar umbi dah mula memberontak nak jawatan presiden dan timbalan dipertandingkan juga. Selagi ini tak dibuat, Umno tak akan boleh tenteram. Dah tercemar teruk Umno ni. Ahli akar umbi marah pasal apa pergi tolong PH bentuk kerajaan walhal membelakangkan keputusan PAU. Kalau Umno kekal berkecuali, harus akar umbi lebih rela.
Remember UMNO leaders – What is offered to you like Menteri Besar etc., will not come as a free lunch. They will get more than what you are offered and the Malay will lose more. There is no win-win with them. Why can’t you realize and learn from PAS and Bersatu mistakes? Hai yaa

Lest we be accused again of “insinuating” and “sniping” DAP’s dear darling beloved leaders. I suppose some do enjoy cultish status.
Thank God folks cld still seek recourse thru our courts. So it proves our justice system still works. (Oh, the past AG dropping DAP corruption cases is another story.)
