Pakatan’s principles? What principles?

I refer to recent media reports where Anwar has gone on record stating that Pakatan will review its recently released Manifesto Rakyat to include five additional pledges to the Indian electorate.

Anwar needs to be given a pat on his back for the courage to admit this large error of omission after so much argument on principle – principle of need based versus race based and principle of policies that transcend race. ABU bertukar menjadi ‘Aku bencikan Umno’ pula?

Tatkala Tun Abdul Razak Hussein menyingkirkan Tunku Abdul Rahman dulu, perdana menteri kita yang kedua tidaklah memutuskan untuk mencemarkan imej pesaingnya (bukan umpamanya seperti PM ke-5 yang membiarkan sahaja legasi PM ke-4 disampahkan).

Sebaliknya Tun Razak – sungguhpun hampir memegang kuasa mutlak kerana Parlimen telah digantung selepas Mei 13 dan negara ditadbir oleh Mageran yang dipengerusikannya sendiri – namun pengganti kepada Tunku itu memilih untuk menjaga nama baik pemimpin yang mendahuluinya.
