Evangelical Christian’s uncharitable words on Christmas eve

Well, at least I didn’t say Wong Chun Wai’s load of bullshit in my post title above.

They just can’t stop politicking, can they, even in the spirit of the season and Christmas goodwill.

Chun Wai’s J-Star column today is titled ‘The storm over Jerusalem’. It’s full of – as I put it mildly in my headline – ‘uncharitable words’ and not to mention passages of pure propaganda. I’ve listed below Chun Wai’s propaganda contained in his Church of the Negativity talk today. Continue reading “Evangelical Christian’s uncharitable words on Christmas eve”

Muar laundry: J-Star and the concept of separation of powers

The J-Star and its fellow travellers are loudly applauding the Johor sultan for His Royal Highness’ prompt intervention and instruction to the state exco on matters of legislation (or council guidelines) pertaining to religious discrimination, and specifically with regard to the case of a ‘Muslims Only’ laundromat in Muar.

JStar readers heaped praise on the sultan who was reported this morning by the paper’s CEO Wong Chun Wai as saying:

“From now on, I am directing the state executive council and all the councils to insist that any business owners who carry out such blatant discriminatory practices should have their licences revoked. Don’t mess around with your narrow-minded religious prejudices.” Continue reading “Muar laundry: J-Star and the concept of separation of powers”

Evangelical Christian Wong Chun Wai vely susah to live in Muslim M’sia wor

In his newspaper column today titled ‘Moderation, the way to go‘, Wong Chun Wai takes a contemptuous swipe at “Islamist” PAS and “morally-questionable” Kelantan.

Chun Wai’s argumentative premise is articulated in the standfirst to his article, which reads: “PAS, or any other group, should not be allowed to use religion to challenge Malaysia’s social climate and political system”. Ultrakiasu Chun Wai rants about “racist” (+related ‘race’ words) 16 times in column today

J-Star CEO Wong Chun Wai has aimed his fire at Malay “doltish personalities” and Muslim “extremists” yet again. This time, it is the “obscure” Barisan Bertindak Melayu Islam that is in his gunsight. He wants those NGOs under the new Bertindak grouping to be called up by police.

Below are extracts from Chun Wai’s newspaper column today where he copiously deploys the ‘R’ (racist, racism, racial, race) word. Continue reading “Ultrakiasu Chun Wai rants about “racist” (+related ‘race’ words) 16 times in column today”

Wong Chun Wai: Umno MP Azeez Rahim is Indian

Oh, look! Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim has got Dr Mahathir’s nose and Samy Vellu’s lips.

J-Star CEO Wong Chun Wai writes in his column today, “Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is open about his ancestry, acknowledging it could be traced to Kerala in India”.

According to Chun Wai, Abdul Azeez is a Malay only “technically and legally” as well the Umno Baling MP’s “forefathers also landed in Malaya by boat”. Continue reading “Wong Chun Wai: Umno MP Azeez Rahim is Indian”

Wong Chun Wai: “we are not a banana republic”

Scissorati-in-Chief Wong Chun Wai is predictably using his EvangeliSTAR column to attack the Red Shirts.

The J-Star CEO alleges in his article today titled ‘Time to get real‘ that certain politicians are “seeing shadows when there are none”.

Chun Wai claims that these has-beens “waving the racist card” / “waving the keris” against their “so-called imaginary enemies” are creating havoc. Continue reading “Wong Chun Wai: “we are not a banana republic””

Wong Chun Wai trots out ‘children’ cheap gimmick week in, week out

Evangelistas are masters at capitalizing on little children or even exploiting the tragedy affecting children.

Hannah Yeoh omits mentioning who the dead children are (they’re Palestinians) and where the killings took place (in Gaza) – see her tweet below – because her political support base is staunchly Christian Zionist. Continue reading “Wong Chun Wai trots out ‘children’ cheap gimmick week in, week out”

Umno unleashing “red terror”, claims evangelista (a former ambassador)

Malaysian former ambassador Dennis Ignatius said that Najib Razak and his coterie have released “their own version of the ‘red guards’ to intimidate and terrorize”.

He said this today in his Malaysiakini article – see below – after accusing Umno of having taken a “racist turn”.

The majority silent because they’re konpius

Basic journalism pivots on the 5W1H questions.

If one were to apply the ‘What, Who, When, Why, Where and How’ questions to the Red Shirts rally, the asker would definitely get himself lost and end up in Confusion Central, what with the thick haze shrouding the Klang Valley these few days. Is the J-Star chairman as dungu as he looks?

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was… given how the editorial content of an MCA-owned company has been allowed to be hijacked to serve the interests of the evangelical Christian opposition.

Mr Chairman of Star Media Group is the guy on the right – MCA’s Fu Ah Kiow. Forrest Gump doesn’t look like he is any match for the super sneaky evangelistas, does he? Continue reading “Is the J-Star chairman as dungu as he looks?”

Low Yat suspects called “thugs” five times by The J-Star in short 287-word article

For The J-Star, one side of the brawl at Low Yat Plaza were the “sales clerks” (Chinese) while the other side were the “thugs” (Malays).

The EvangeliSTAR story – see below – was filed for the MCA paper by Nicholas Cheng, the same Christian reporter who had previously covered the episode of the church cross removal, see ‘J-Star reporter @ Taman Medan: “Who gives you the right to claim this land as Muslim land?”Continue reading “Low Yat suspects called “thugs” five times by The J-Star in short 287-word article”

Is Chun Wai being batu api over the Myanmar religious conflict?

Myanmar’s intolerant Buddhist monks are berated in Wong Chun Wai’s J-Star column today.

Against the backdrop of “ultra nationalist” and “religious extremist” groups that “always fight in the name of country, race and religion”, certain religious figures in conservative societies are able to “get away with the most demonic crimes”, writes the J-Star CEO.

Saifuddin says Umno moving further and further to the right

In his interview published yesterday in Malaysiakini, Saifuddin Abdullah cautioned that “Umno may veer further to the right if Islamist hardliners win in the PAS muktamar in June”.

Wong Chun Wai on Taman Medan: Ignorant, prejudiced bigots

Wong Chun Wai’s column today in The J-Star is titled, ‘No room for intolerance‘. I’ve excerpted parts of his article below and reproduced the paragraphs in red italics.

My own comments on Chun Wai’s views follow.

Wong Chun Wai (WCW): “Like most Christians in this country, I am sad rather than angry over the protest staged by about 50 people demanding the removal of a cross at a church in Taman Medan in Selangor.”

Helen Ang (HA): Like Hannah Yeoh’s staged sorrow …

Isma should strike out on their own

There’s a report today in FMT headlined ‘Isma slams weakling govt for not defending Islam‘.

Isma really shouldn’t wait for the federal government to take any concrete action because the chief of the executive branch, Najib Razak, is preoccupied with more pressing demands such as ensuring his own precarious political survival.

Important agenda for Umno divisions meeting this Sunday @mpkotabelud

Isn’t it wonderful when the passage of time – a mere two years down the road – proves you to have been absolutely correct?

~ ~ I told you so ~~

On 17 May 2013, I had blogged that Najib Razak’s exclamation of “Chinese tsunami” was factually correct and it was indeed true that Chinese voters had ditched the BN wholesale in the election which was held a week-plus earlier (May 5).

And I provided the data to support my finding.

Well, guess what?

In terms of Chinese sentiment – i.e. how the Chinese feel about the country and the government, the Merdeka Center public opinion survey results for the first quarter of 2015 are now a perfect match with the 2013 election mood. Pelacuran, maksiat dan berbagai perniagaan haram di P. Pinang allegations and the Porky Principle

Lim Kit Siang has accused Permatang Pauh Umno division chairman Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said of making an “extremist and incendiary hate speech” and engaging in “Chinese-bashing” at the party’s recent general assembly.

The DAP Mursyidul Am claimed that the Penang delegate had “seriously undermined interracial and inter-religious peace and harmony in the country with his hate speech that the success of Penang was because of the illegal businesses and crimes ‘in broad daylight’ committed by the Chinese in the state”.

J-Star wants extremist “monster” exterminated

The J-Star today continued pushing its Nest of Evangelista campaign against “radicalism, extremism, terrorism and militancy”.

Headlined ‘We’ve to nip it now – and at all costs‘, the EvangeliSTAR editorial said that “extremism” could come whether in the form of “terror groups such as IS or even through the voices of certain groups or individuals”.

Evidently, the J-Star and its evangelista editors believe that certain groups and even certain individuals in our country are “extremists” (or “racists” or “bigots” or haters who spew venom).

Najib’s think tank likely to send young voters to the opposition

Tun: “The minorities can actually overthrow the govt”

Dr Mahathir Mohammad is worried that attacks against the ummah have become ever stronger.

Nonetheless he warned against harbouring such complacency because the reality is “minorities can actually overthrow the government”. Continue reading “Tun: “The minorities can actually overthrow the govt””

Issues that Tun and Najib don’t see eye to eye

Plans are afoot to remove Najib Razak by the Umno conservatives, it is whispered. Influential international business magazine The Economist reported a few days ago that:

“With a general election still four years away, the prime minister faces a threat from within his own party, notably from conservative factions close to Dr Mahathir, who still pulls strings from the wings. Whispers abound that an effort to unseat Mr Najib is imminent. Continue reading “Issues that Tun and Najib don’t see eye to eye”

My Sabah question for Minister Rahman Dahlan

Cabinet minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan tweeted: “Lim Kit Siang is dead silent on oppo’s GE13 campaign in Sabah that ‘one vote for BN means one bible will be burnt’.”

What I’d like to ask Rahman as a Sabah Parliamentarian is whether there is a backlash in his state against the provocation (and other agitations) by the Christians who have been instigated by the DAP evangelistas. My own suspicion is yes. Continue reading “My Sabah question for Minister Rahman Dahlan”

Pendatang polemics: How about Chinese join the army?

The latest news in Ismaweb today – ‘Pembela buat laporan polis terhadap perwakilan Gerakan’.

Pembela is a coalition of more than 50 Muslim NGOs. Isma plays a leading role in Pembela; Isma deputy president Aminuddin Yahya is also the Pembela deputy chairman.

The Gerakan delegate in his speech at his party AGM said that Malays are pendatang too. His contention is a popular refrain among the opposition-supporting Chinese (who make up 90 percent of the Chinese population in Malaysia and include Gerakan and MCA members). The Puan Sri’s collection of more than 1,000 designer shoes

A year ago on this date, I’d blogged ‘DAP SuperCyber Bully slams the judges‘ – referring to the DAP Serdang MP’s criticism of the judgment handed by the Court of Appeal on the Herald-Allah case.

What has Najib’s “moderation” achieved the last four years?

Najib Razak mentioned the word “moderate” and its variants a total of 14 times in his recent speech to the UN general assembly.

Our prime minister said in New York, “Four years ago, I stood before you [the United Nations] and called for a global movement of the moderates, to counter extremism”.

PM then proceeded to set up an organization called Global Movement of Moderates (GMM). He installed Saifuddin Abdullah – pix below – as CEO together with J-Star boss Wong Chun Wai as foundation trustee. Continue reading “What has Najib’s “moderation” achieved the last four years?”

EvangeliSTAR campaigning in colleges and universities next

The EvangeliSTAR and their Voices are taking their ‘Moderation’ campaign into its next phase.

Moving into the colleges and universities, the evangelistas will no doubt be telling students that the ultra right-wingers are “hate-spewing, divisive, race-obsessed ignoramuses” who are “racist, extremist and bigots” devoid of any “rational and balanced views” – see Wong Chun Wai’s most recent column yesterday.

Does Najib Razak support the J-Star‘s agenda, considering that his NGO headed by Saifuddin Abdullah is working hand-in-glove with the EvangeliSTAR?

We are the BN voters, listen to us!

“His character, decisions bring ‘malapetaka’ to Umno. If his decisions affect him alone, that would be fine.
