Well, at least I didn’t say Wong Chun Wai’s load of bullshit in my post title above.

They just can’t stop politicking, can they, even in the spirit of the season and Christmas goodwill.

Chun Wai’s J-Star column today is titled ‘The storm over Jerusalem’. It’s full of – as I put it mildly in my headline – ‘uncharitable words’ and not to mention passages of pure propaganda. I’ve listed below Chun Wai’s propaganda contained in his Church of the Negativity talk today.

The J-Star and its fellow travellers are loudly applauding the Johor sultan for His Royal Highness’ prompt intervention and instruction to the state exco on matters of legislation (or council guidelines) pertaining to religious discrimination, and specifically with regard to the case of a ‘Muslims Only’ laundromat in Muar.

J–Star readers heaped praise on the sultan who was reported this morning by the paper’s CEO Wong Chun Wai as saying:

“From now on, I am directing the state executive council and all the councils to insist that any business owners who carry out such blatant discriminatory practices should have their licences revoked. Don’t mess around with your narrow-minded religious prejudices.”

In his newspaper column today titled ‘Moderation, the way to go‘, Wong Chun Wai takes a contemptuous swipe at “Islamist” PAS and “morally-questionable” Kelantan.

Chun Wai’s argumentative premise is articulated in the standfirst to his article, which reads: “PAS, or any other group, should not be allowed to use religion to challenge Malaysia’s social climate and political system”.

For The J-Star, one side of the brawl at Low Yat Plaza were the “sales clerks” (Chinese) while the other side were the “thugs” (Malays).

Saifuddin says Umno moving further and further to the right

In his interview published yesterday in Malaysiakini, Saifuddin Abdullah cautioned that “Umno may veer further to the right if Islamist hardliners win in the PAS muktamar in June”.

Saifuddin, who is Global Movement of Moderates CEO, said Umno should live up to its of being a moderate party regardless the scepticism greeting its claim to such a credential.

The DAP Mursyidul Am claimed that the Penang delegate had “seriously undermined interracial and inter-religious peace and harmony in the country with his hate speech that the success of Penang was because of the illegal businesses and crimes ‘in broad daylight’ committed by the Chinese in the state”.

The J-Star today continued pushing its Nest of Evangelista campaign against “radicalism, extremism, terrorism and militancy”.

Headlined ‘We’ve to nip it now – and at all costs‘, the EvangeliSTAR editorial said that “extremism” could come whether in the form of “terror groups such as IS or even through the voices of certain groups or individuals”.

Evidently, the J-Star and its evangelista editors believe that certain groups and even certain individuals in our country are “extremists” (or “racists” or “bigots” or haters who spew venom).

Issues that Tun and Najib don’t see eye to eye

Plans are afoot to remove Najib Razak by the Umno conservatives, it is whispered. Influential international business magazine The Economist reported a few days ago that:

“With a general election still four years away, the prime minister faces a threat from within his own party, notably from conservative factions close to Dr Mahathir, who still pulls strings from the wings. Whispers abound that an effort to unseat Mr Najib is imminent.

My Sabah question for Minister Rahman Dahlan

Cabinet minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan tweeted: “Lim Kit Siang is dead silent on oppo’s GE13 campaign in Sabah that ‘one vote for BN means one bible will be burnt’.”

What I’d like to ask Rahman as a Sabah Parliamentarian is whether there is a backlash in his state against the provocation (and other agitations) by the Christians who have been instigated by the DAP evangelistas. My own suspicion is yes.

The latest news in Ismaweb today – ‘Pembela buat laporan polis terhadap perwakilan Gerakan’.

Pembela is a coalition of more than 50 Muslim NGOs. Isma plays a leading role in Pembela; Isma deputy president Aminuddin Yahya is also the Pembela deputy chairman.

The Gerakan delegate in his speech at his party AGM said that Malays are pendatang too. His contention is a popular refrain among the opposition-supporting Chinese (who make up 90 percent of the Chinese population in Malaysia and include Gerakan and MCA members).

What has Najib’s “moderation” achieved the last four years?

Najib Razak mentioned the word “moderate” and its variants a total of 14 times in his recent speech to the UN general assembly.

Our prime minister said in New York, “Four years ago, I stood before you [the United Nations] and called for a global movement of the moderates, to counter extremism”.

PM then proceeded to set up an organization called Global Movement of Moderates (GMM). He installed Saifuddin Abdullah – pix below – as CEO together with J-Star boss Wong Chun Wai as foundation trustee.

EvangeliSTAR campaigning in colleges and universities next

The EvangeliSTAR and their Voices are taking their ‘Moderation’ campaign into its next phase.

Moving into the colleges and universities, the evangelistas will no doubt be telling students that the ultra right-wingers are ““hate-spewing, divisive, race-obsessed ignoramuses” who are “racist, extremist and bigots” devoid of any “rational and balanced views” – see Wong Chun Wai’s most recent column yesterday.

Does Najib Razak support the J-Star‘s agenda, considering that his NGO headed by Saifuddin Abdullah is working hand-in-glove with the EvangeliSTAR?

Under the National Anthem Act 1968, a person who shows disrespect towards Negaraku in a public place can be fined up to RM100 and/or jailed a maximum of one month.

There is also Section 268 on ‘Public Nuisance’ in the Penal Code which criminalises the causing of “annoyance to the public”. The person can be hauled to court and if found guilty, fined up to RM400.
