Jackson melenting apabila dia mendapati balai polis Datuk Keramat di Pulau Pinang tidak menggantung gambar ketua menteri negeri itu pada dinding.
Dia memberi amaran kepada polis dan Ketua Polis Negara: “Behave appropriately and jangan kurang ajar sama rakyat dan undang-undang”.
Dia menyuruh polis supaya jangan berperangai seperti “anjing suruhan” BN dengan senjaga tidak menghormati Guan Eng, dan mengingatkan polis bahawa gaji mereka diperolehi daripada pembayar cukai.
Dia juga mendakwa sebelum tahun 2008, gambar [bekas] ketua menteri kerajaan negeri BN ada tergantung di dinding balai itu. (Senang je, Koh Tsu Koon lebih kacak kot).
Jackson berhujah:
“Is this a deliberate show of disrespect for the duly elected Chief Minister or a blatant disregard for the laws of the country and the people’s democratic rights.”
Yakah? Saya pun tak pasti sama ada betul-betul wujud “undang-undang negara” yang mewajibkan gambar seseorang ketua menteri diletakkan di balai polis.
Adakah sesiapa yang mengetahui tentang perkara ini?

Kesetiaan PDRM adalah kepada Yang Dipertuan Agung. Sepatutnya hanya gambar YDA semasa sahaja yang tergantung di mana-mana balai polis. PDRM tidak boleh memihak kepada mana-mana parti politik. Tak ada anggota PDRM yang menjadi ahli parti politik. This is basic Perlembagaan. Atau ada niat lain yang tak baik kut? Nak gunakan PDRM untuk kepentingan parti?

I read the article and comments. I say, whatever. Bukan nak cakap, tapi dulu kt Balai Polis Bukit Besi, tak turunkan gambar Tun Dr. M dekat setahun. Pastu baru dorang letak gmabr PakLah.It’s not because boycott or etc, tapi alasan dia belum sempat frame. Macam kelakar je baca komen2 pada artikel tersebut. Tiba2 sahaja kaitkan dengan UMNO yg bagi arahan. and drag Agong in this matter. Agong tu entiti berkecuali ok. Kalau tayar diorang pancit pun diorang akan cakap kerajaan UMNO BN yg warning suruh tayar pancit. And asik2 ckp bayar gaji dorang dengan taxpayers money. Come on la. Pejabat Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang kenalah hantar gambar baru Ketua Menteri. Bukan tugas balai polis untuk membelinya atau mencarinya untuk digantung ke dinding. Nanti kalau terbeli gambar LGE yang tak elok,atau tak sesuai bagaimana?

I am a keen photographer and to me, Lim Guan Eng does not have a photogenic face to be used on posters or hung as pictures. Anybody who cannot see that must be blind.

This story definitely shows that DAP and its leaders love the North Korean style of governance with its strong penchant for dynastic regime, idol-worship and cultivation of the cult of leadership.
In the post-Political Tsunami Penang, one is constantly reminded of the life at Pyongyang with non stop hero worship of the Great Leader LGE. Everywhere you go in Penang, you see the photoshopped images of boysih,smiling Great Caliph of Penang.
When you arrive at Penang airport, LGE welcomes you. When you approach the city,he welcomes you in huge posters and cutouts. Every time I travel and return home,I feel there are more and more posters of LGE. One of my friends mentioned that during Gerakan times,the images of KTK hardly to be found but now LGE seems to be everywhere.
If LGE is into publicity, then his fan boys and gals are worse, You can hardly say anything negative about their idol, otherwise you will be bashed verbally or even physically by these cultists. There are people who think it is LGE who single handedly brought Penang to this level of development, sort like LKY of Penang. They seemed to think Penang was like Kelantan back in 2008 and LGE through some divine power transformed Penang with a wave of a wand.
Sometimes it is scary to talk to these cultists as they simply refused to listen to logic or reason. They think it is blasphemous to criticize him. Some of these people even have posters of him in the work cubicle.
As such I am not surprised by such requests by Jackson. I have personally experienced such demands from DAP supporters for a talk I had organised in a 5-star hotel recently. Mind you it was not a political function but a company technical seminar.
I shudder what will happen if DAP controls the Fed govt. Most likely that everyone will be required to pledge allegiance to DAP and their leaders and have their photos at all homes.School kids would be made to sing the songs of praise and glory to LGE and LKS, I guess.
