Kit Siang: “Zam, are you ‘Malaysian first, Malay second’ or ‘Malay first, Malaysian second’?”

Tulis Kit Siang:

“But Zainuddin is quite happy and comfortable with the police double standards with false accusations against me that I was the cause of the May 13 riots in Kuala Lumpur when I was not even in Kuala Lumpur during the May 13 riots in 1969 – with no action taken by the authorities against such malice and hatred!

“Again, if any DAP leader had threatened May 13 riots in the country, he or she would have to face the full weight of the law – and rightly so, because all Malaysians cherish peace, harmony and unity in our multi-racial, multi-religious and multi-cultural nation. But Zainuddin is quite happy that no action is being taken by the police or authorities although May 13 threats had been openly made at least three times this year by racial and religious extremists and chauvinists.

“I invite Zainuddin to join me to foreswear the language of division, extremism, hatred and injustice and to embrace the language of unity, moderation, tolerance and justice to build a united, democratic, just and prosperous Malaysia for all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or region.”

Persoalan-persoalan yang masih kabur

(1) Kit Siang: “false accusations against me that I was the cause of the May 13 riots”

Kalau ia tuduhan palsu, kenapa pula Kit Siang ditahan ISA hampir 1½ tahun mulai 18 Mei 1969?

“I was not even in Kuala Lumpur during the May 13 riots,” kata Kit Siang.

  • 11 Mei 1969: Kit Siang balik ke rumahnya di Petaling Jaya setelah tempoh panjang berkempen pilihanraya
    .

Kit Siang mencatat nota ketika bosnya Devan Nair membuat sidang akhbar

“Equality for the languages, cultures”

“The entire Malaysian people and nation is on the move and on a great wave for change. The DAP has emerged as the leading Opposition party in the country, with the largest Opposition Parliamentary group.

“Our victory in the West Malaysian general elections is only the first step and the beginning of our crusade for equality and justice in Malaysia, equality for the races, languages, cultures and classes — a Malaysian Malaysia.”

(2) Kit Siang: “all Malaysians cherish peace, harmony and unity in our multi-racial, multi-religious and multi-cultural nation”

“Since July, 1968, you, Lim Kit Siang, have been acting in a manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order in Malaysia in that in the several speeches you have made since the date you have deliberately and intentionally roused intense communal feelings thereby promoting feelings of hostility between different races in Malaysia and causing suspicion and disunity to grow between them.”

(3) Kit Siang: “I invite Zainuddin to join me to foreswear the language of division, extremism, hatred and injustice”

Kit Siang menggambarkan seolah-olah hanya dia dan partinya sahajalah yang mendakap erat “the language of unity, moderation, tolerance and justice” demi membina perpaduan nasional walhal mereka CUKUP HIPOKRIT.

Dasar DAP dari segi pembentukan negara bangsa (on nation-building) terus lagi berpaksi kepada usaha memansuhkan pembahagian warga Malaysia kepada kelas Bumiputera dan Bukan-Bumiputera (“abolition of the division of ‘bumiputra’ and ‘non-bumiputra’ and the implementation of ethnic equality”).

Ruj. http://dapmalaysia.org/en/about-us/vision-mission/our-objectives/

Pokok pangkalnya senang.

  1. Helen,
Kit “Malam” ops, should be “Siang”, (tak lama lagi boleh jadi Kit Kat) should first abolish Chinese schools which have not contributed to national unity. Orang Melayu is always Malaysian bcoz this is Malay Land. Otherwise, the Malays should fight to rename Malaysia to “Malay Land”.

    1. ‘Orang Melayu is always Malaysian bcoz this is Malay Land.’

Absolutely! Malay Land jadi Malaysia, Malay cultures de facto jadi Malaysian cultures. The non-Malays are welcome to enrich it, but not via denying the obvious, first and foremost!

    2. “..should first abolish Chinese schools which have not contributed to national unity. Orang Melayu is always Malaysian bcoz this is Malay Land. Otherwise, the Malays should fight to rename Malaysia to “Malay Land””

Two contradictory statements in the same paragraph. Next to each other.

The Sabahans and Sarawakians do not agree to Malaysia being renamed as ‘Tanah Melayu’.

West Malaysia is Malaya. East Malaysia is not.

      1. as far as i know, tanah melayu refers to peninsular malaysia. let’s not split hairs over the obvious, shall we?

  2. Dap keluar masuk masjid n surau, pakai pakaian melayu, puasa, bla…
    bla..bla…

Kenapa Dap tak nak keluar masuk kuil, pakaian india, masak n makan sama india kat kuil, bagi ceramah kat kuil, etc.???

Tapi apabila melayu naik amok maka banyak orang-orang cina terpaksa cari perlindungan.

keep our good work HELEN for our future nation.

    Thanks for NOTHING,Ahjibgor!!

    1. Alfie,

Sikap Melayu ialah kita tak buka cerita lama (May 13 1969) sebab pada kita yg lepas tak usahlah dikenang.

Niat adalah baik. Tetapi bila kita tak cerita maka orang ramai tak tahu.

Benar. Tapi apa dia buat beberapa hari sebelum tu?

Saya sentiasa cakap perkara ni jika sda orang Cina mahu mula fitnah Tun Razak dalam hal May 13. Mereka cepat cepat tukar topik bila saya bercakap hal ini.

        1. Alfie,

Sebab tu la saya kata Najib mesti letak jawatan.

Masa nak cari undi, cari Melayu. Macam minta Israel beri cadangan macam mana nak jaga kepentingan Arab.

  5. Lim Kit Siang , Dap and the chinaman its nothing to do wth politics, its all about Propaganda.

“Propaganda consists of the planned use of any form of communication or action designed to affect the minds, emotions, and action of a given group for a specific purpose.”

And we know how good chinaman are at it ,given they had a leader with that little red book

  6. The whole world knows who started the May 13 riots in Malaysia and he is now deceased. These are all based on dipomats reports by their various embassies which are mostly located in Kuala Lumpur.

But in Malaysia, isn’t it surprising that the blame game is still being used to hoodwink duggu Malaysians based on political, race and religious biasness.

    Go get a life!

    1. Really? Where did you read the diplomats’ reports and what did they say?

Proof your allegations. At present, I consider your insinuations to be the vilest slander against a deceased person.

Not that I’m at all surprised to hear fitnah coming out of an evangelista mouth.

      1. Dear H

To dandy and his ilks. You may quote whatever reports, diplomats or others. What I witnessed and heard during that 2nd week of May ’69 , can never be erased. I was there.

It is important for future generation to know the truth. The Jinjang joes were all over Batu Rd shouting and throwing insults to us innocent bystanders.

  7. The sentiment. The truth. The on going racisms. The Kiasus, The Brahmin and their games.

Thanks Helen for the sake of our ‘Perpaduan dan Kontrak Sosial’. Lately, it has been ‘so Sial’ due to politics of hatred. Evangelistas and the gang, seven, five and three stars. You know whom.

Just refer to Another Brick On The Wall. Tax evaders. The reality. They talk a lot. They shout aloud as if the biggest taxpayers but…

You see, all the lies beneath their carpets !

( Happy holidays Helen. Visit your Muslims/Malay friends this Hari Raya. Wishing all – Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Bathin )

Semoga Allah SWT menyatukan kita semua menjadi Rakyat Malaysia yang sentiasa hormat menghormati, bekerjasama. Terutama kaum Cina di sektor swasta – be open minded and open heart . MH 17 and MH 379 , mangsa-mangsa teraniaya semoga di cucuri rahmat. Tragedi yang boleh menyatukan semua Rakyat Malaysia.

  8. Cik Helen

Keep up the good work. You and you alone has the capability to create real unity among Malaysians. Your writings all this while is directed at creating the true understanding — that all races in this country must know where they came from so that collectively they would know where they want and could go to. We need your reality checks.

HOW I wish the MCA (and to a lesser extent MIC) is doing what you are doing alone. On the contrary, MCA leaders had declared that they would join the Government (vote I AGREE at cabinets meetings) then outside, especially among the Chinese, would attack the very decisions that they had just agreed to!

How many FACES these people have? I think they all full of feces.

Your work is vital for Malaysians to develop real understanding of how to live together. Regrettably, the DApsters wanted Malaysian Malaysia then, now and forever. You have been vilified. Not frequently. Always. But you must not be stopped. We are all behind you.

No matter how much DAPsters try to camouflage this using their newly minted words, including bringing in Christianity, and DAP Christian evangelistas, going into masjids and suarus, and other deceits into the their political equation, it is still MALAYSIAN MALAYSIA.

Interestingly (perhaps tellingly to some of us) that was also the SAME EXACT battle cry used by Lee Kuan Yew, when Singapore was part of Malaysia! And there is no way in hell that the DAP = PAP they would protest.

The Melayus, particularly the UMNO members could not accept it then and thus would not accept this NOW. The same goes for most of the Bumiputras from Sabah and Sarawak.

Surprisingly, it appears that Kit was able to fool PAS. It would seem that PAS members had bought into the DAP’s Malaysian Malaysia-Christianity formula. How strange.

But could Kit and the DAPsters fool the majority of the voting bumiputras? Only time will tell.

Even among PAS members, how many would vote DAP?

As observed in Shah Alam, Chinese voters (for sure 100% DAP members) would vote PAS – YB Khalid Samad, who had seriously made HRH Sultan of Selangor, very very angry.

I hope the Chinese had time to contemplate the damage this had done to the DAP iin particular and to their political fortunes in general, now and in the future.

Can DAP count on the same favour from PAS members? Better hope that it would be so. Otherwise Kit and Gang is leading the Chinese in Malaysia to climb up the wrong tree.

What would happen if the political climate brewing noe would swept more of the Tan Sri Zam type of Ministers into government and would occupy most of the important ministries in Putrajaya?

Or even how long their beloved Ajib Gor would remain liberal and maha tolerant as he is now. He too could be persuaded to change. Most politicians do. Observe the persona Najib put on when he was addressing the UNNO AGMs, formerly as Youth Head and recently as its President.

Remember only leopards do not change spots!

    Back to PAS —

Dr. Bakri Musa told of a story of an imam who had grown very tired of his neighbour. He always borrowed the imam’s donkey along with his complete farming tools. So much so that whenever he needed, the donkey or his tools were always not available.

One day, the imam decided enough is enough. So one morning he hid the donkey behind his house.

True to form, the neighbour turned up at the imam’s home that morning to borrow the imam’s donkey. The imam told him he had released the donkey and it would only come home in the evening.

Unfortunately, for the imam, as soon as he finished speaking, the donkey brayed (a donkey’s call just as dogs would bark). The neighbour immediately told the imam that the donkey was still there as he had just heard its bray. And that he would go to the back of the imam’s house to fetch the donkey!

The imam immediately replied, and in a rather authoritative tone, to his neighbour — would he rather believe a donkey or the words of a religious man – his imam?

The man replied of course he believe his imam. He left the imam’s house without the donkey.

So Kit may NOT have fooled any PAS members at all. What may have happened was that PAS members had believed their imam (tok guru Aziz) rather than use their own own logical thinking process (that of investigating the donkey’s braying)?

BUT there are many outstanding issues UMNO could use to instigate PAS members into investigating the braying of the donkeys. Not least significant are the Allah and Hudud issues.

Back to the Kit and May 13

We have this saying — “siapa makan cili (cabai) maka dialah yang akan rasa PEDAS”

Kit and gang’s sensitivity is always in OVERDRIVE when anyone mentions May 13, particularly who did what and why, in that ugly ‘incident’.

Even when TS Mahyuddin reminded us that if we do not tone down the racial and religious rhetoric – we could be heading back to the ugly May 13 – Kit and his DAPters gang accused him of sedition.

    Why so sensitive one?.

All Tan Sri Zam said and would always say is that Kit Siang had a big role in the May 13 incident. Big enough to cause it.

I think he would say that again and again — literally “siang dan malam”.

For Kit to deny that he had a role (big or small) in the incident is akin to saying Karl Marx had no role whatsoever in the Russian Bolshevik revolution.

Karl Marx was dead almost 100 years before the Russian revolution and yet there would not be any historian who would say that Karl Marx has no role whatsoever!!

Kit boarded a plane to Kota Kinabalu on the same day May 13 incident erupted in KL. So kit was away in the morning when May 13 troubles broke out in the afternoon of the same day!

But being just a few hours away from the Chow Kit areas was enough for Kit and DAPsters gang — to say Kit that had ZERO role in May 13? Come on lah!

There is an English word than came to mind — instigator. Instigators roles, throughout human history – cause more dramatic impacts – sometimes mass murders and miseries to the human societies — on a very large scale – than the acts of the perpetrators themselves.

The role of Herr Hitler – another ghost the DAP always relish to invoke – in the atrocities during WW2, comes to mind too. 20 million soldiers and civilian died in the WW2. Who was the instigator? Churchill of Hitler? Americans or Japanese?

So is Kit a dear leader or just a cowardly instigator??

If he has no role in May 13, prove the ISA detention charge sheet was wrong. Take the Home Ministry and the Government to court. Let the record speaks for itself or forever OWN up to your deeds or misdeeds, and live with it.

TQ Cik Helen for the space to share my opinion with your readers.

    1. “What would happen if the political climate brewing noe would swept more of the Tan Sri Zam type of Ministers into government and would occupy most of the important ministries in Putrajaya?”

Considering the fact that Zainuddin Maidin had been a lacklustre minister with a penchant for putting his foot in his mouth, and a ‘tin kosong’ as they call it, our government would be even more ineffective.

And an ineffective government filled with donkeys would only accelerate the decline of Malaysia.

      1. re: “a penchant for putting his foot in his mouth”

He’s a straight shooter unlike the evangelista sly, silver tongue that says and means nothing even behind their politically correct words uttered for effect.

@hannahyeoh’s tweet: Who are the dead children she is referring to, who are injuring them and where is the killing taking place?

        null

Doesn’t say. And neither are there any other tweets by Madame Biawak on the topic either. The crocodile tears (see her two teardrop-emoticon) tweet which has no context whatsoever is a standalone in her Twitter timeline.

I’d rather have Zam anytime on our political stage than the DAP evangelistas who are ‘exquisite’ in their politically correctness but so sneaky and so fake.

        1. He shoots straight into his foot. His derogatory remarks about BJ Habibie earned him serious criticism from the Indonesians, including from their President.

And then, there is that infamous interview on Al Jazeera when he was Information Minister. His political career has produced anything of value except unintentional comedy.

And that false accusation of Air Asia serving pork on its flights.

          1. re: “infamous interview on Al Jazeera”

You’re making a mountain out of a molehill just because his pronunciation of one word missed the mark. When Obama visit, Najib in his speech twice slipped up in pronouncing the “proliferation”.

Below you can watch Hannah Yeoh slip on the word “humility” when she meant “humiliation”.

0:51: “Politicians who value families, marriages, their spouse, will legislate with that in mind and govern like a caring government. We must never be like politicians from BN. Some of them, you know, have belittled the institution of marriage and even caused public HUMILITY [sic] to their spouse because of adultery.”

            1. Grammar correction:

              During
              Obama’s visit …

And taking your cue, AC-DC, on Zam’s al-Jazeera interview, I shall (when I next have the occasion to refer to Hannah’s pronunciation and word use), refer to her 2012 address to the DAP convention as Hannah Yeoh’s “infamous” speech on the adultery of BN politicians.

            2. “You’re making a mountain out of a molehill just because his pronunciation of one word missed the mark.”

It is not JUST because of one word, but the way he conducted himself in the interview, and the answers he gave to the interviewer…
