MH370: Condolences, but …

… “Umno is not getting any sympathy from this tragedy”.

How the opposition supporters think:

“Our hearts go out to the families of the passengers. But let us not forget about what just happened. Anwar has been convicted on sodomy 2 and Kapal Singh’s sentencing is on March 11th. Rest assure Bernama and the Star will be capitalizing on this missing plane story to obscure what just happened to Anwar. As we hope the plane will be recovered and the passengers safe, let’s us be enticed with the “wag the dog” syndrome. We must not forget and forgive what just happened in Malaysia. We shall NEVER FORGET, NEVER FORGIVE until the day justice in Malaysia can be JUSTICE again. Until then, the Palace of Justice is nothing but a farce. We shall continue to fight until the day we have police personnel who could uphold orderly law enforcement, judges who are not politically and economically corrupted, doctors who can be medically knowledgeable, and ministers who are not laughing stock.”

In the article ‘DCA: No word from Vietnam on oil slicks‘ (8 March 2014)

Milosevic wrote:

“My deep condolences to the families of the passengers on board MH370. What what angers me is the sheer incompetence of the Malaysian authorities in mastering the situation. They give such wrong information, with Subang airport saying the plane disappeared much later than we now know. The Vietnamese gave more accurate information, and the Chinese radar picked up how the plane nosed dived. I know the crony class rather build second- rate runaways with cracks because it is more lucrative. We know that siphoning money from public projects takes priority over the needs of the rakyat, but things have gone too far. This episode is an embarrassment, built on contempt for the public. Quick response is vital to save lives. The crony political system, now bordering on ethno-religious fascism, doesn’t understand public service. It is premised on getting third-rate, sycophantic judges and officials to shore up the sick UMNO system, hiding behind talk of race, religion, and king.”

In the article ‘PM to meet MH370 passengers’ kin today‘ (9 March 2014)

Quigonbond wrote:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, but it’ll be interesting to see what happens after the pleasantries have been exchanged with the PM, and unscripted questions surface, such as whether the MH370 had anything to do with (1) MAS cost cutting measures,as well as whether the Transport Minister’s job should have been given to a full time minister (2) UMNO’s escalation of religious strife in this country (US and China speculating terrorism) (3) lax of security at our airport – whether there has been an element of corruption. Whatever it is, UMNO is not getting any sympathy from this tragedy, especially when we Malaysians are still shocked from Anwar’s sham conviction. MH370 saddens Malaysians because it’s our national airline. But Anwar conviction has graver implication in the long run. And there may well be a link between the two national tragedies – abuse of power, corruption and incompetence.”

  1. Helen, truly i’ve given up reading comments on mkini, insider semua. And did you see Nizar ‘s tweet?

    1. Here it’s not the case of making inappropriate or insensitive comments per se or even hijacking the incident as an opportunity to slag the government.

It the hypocritical contrast when they pretend that their heart is so troubled, when they implore god’s comfort for the affected families, when they send out prayers for the passengers but in the same breath, it’s Politics as Usual.

      1. ADD:

The tweets above are by the COO of a Pakatan-backed think tank highlighting the oppo 5th annual convention held in Shah Alam yesterday.

  2. Only heartless people like PR supporters can have the stomache to cook up this type of insensitivities.

It’s a tragedy, share the grievances. Instead they continue with their politicking and unfounded allegations.

TV3 at least tried to report some good ordinary things the pilot did in his daily life despite the fact the the pilot is a hardcore PKR supporter. But it’s a human aspect being reported.

I simply have nothing to say to these kind of people.

    1. Urb,

Kita pun dah lali dengan this type of insensitivities yang diorang selalu cook up.

However it is their straight-faced hypocrisy that is astounding. They can say “deep condolences”, “Our hearts go out to the families”, and “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families” when their thoughts obviously cannot desist from bashing BN as shown in the very next sentence.

It is their super public relations skills to sugarcoat words – to sound all caring as if their heart is so troubled by the tragedy and they call upon god’s comfort for the affected families – that is really creepy.

      1. Helen,

Sometimes i feel that politicians from western worlds are more “mulia”, honest.

They no doubt indulge in shady activities such as sleeping around with woman or men too. But they know where to stop. They acknowledged their misdeeds and “dissapeared” from political life and strings of posts that come with it.

In short, they do not make their personal life as national problem. They do not make condolence and at a same breath spew venomous comments to the other side of divide.

What sort of politicians who make fun of a tragedy

  3. Apa laa geng oppo pokeatoon, you poke here and there maa, everything oso is sensationalised ahh? Stop politicising every issue. In this moment of grief let’s pray for the safety of everybody on board, whatever your belief.

Sick of those who sensationalise and politicise every issue,..

meet this species every day everywhere.

  4. When the whole world are with Malaysia in this tragedy…….it is very unfortunate that we have a bunch of so called “bangsa Malaysia” are politicing it.

These pakatan’s media and staunch followers should be labelled as the “bangsat of Malaysia”.

My condolences to the families of all the affected passengers and crews of MH370. Stay strong and may the efforts by the authorities yields positive outcome.

  5. Hope against hope. Is there any substantive funding for research into the discovery of medication that can make sick, convoluted minds well again? Anti-depressants are available but I don’t think they will be any good for such wrecked minds.

    1. Ayah,

They just have to let go their hate.

If not, I don’t see how the races can co-exist here any longer. (You know what I mean.)

  6. This could be sensationalisng, to the oppos who hunger for anything sensational.

The cruiser is very much engrossed in his material, the boeing.

He seems to know it from nose to tail. And he’s an oppo supporter. So,..? Could he hv collaborated wt the 2 on-board? (those who stole passport.). This’ is as far one’s imagination cld go, if he’s a member of the oppos. Of course, we on bn’s side won’t go to this length … irony!

    1. The chinese officials fron China have started scrutinising this pilot. What a co-incidence in our thinking.

  7. Whats disgusting and typically Pakatan about this note of condolence is that it is an insincere and exploitative bit of indecency typical of the Pakatan mindset.

A condolence should be separate and stand on its own instead of standing on the bodies of 239 innocent passengers not caught up in this filthy PKR struggle.

    1. re: “filthy PKR struggle”

Filthy Pakatan — the DAP evangelista tenor is also there in the comments.

    2. There’s a Yiddish saying: “A dog without teeth will still attack a bone; but a dog without teeth is just not a dog.”

That animal is a stray without a master to whom loyalty benefits it; so it sells its instincts to anyone with a bone to spare for contention.

  8. The whole strangeness of the plane’s disappearance bothers me very much.

I know the authorities are focusing their search right now, but I hope they won’t slack on national security as well and stay vigilant.

    Remember Lahad Datu.

      1. I have other paranoid thoughts concerning this, I’m just keeping it to myself and hope that international cooperation and assistance would help Malaysia solve this mysterious incident and prevent any possible nefarious plans in the making.

We didn’t have that back then. Though we still managed to deal with that one.

      2. we may have our differences or bias here but when more then 200 lives are still missing where are our sympathies n screw the politicians

        1. Now bandit scum have kidnapped 2 people in Sabah, so much for hoping for anything.

        2. Behind every black cloud is a silver lining. the 239 passengers of MH 370 may have been lost for good presumed dead. Nothing we say or speculate about their fate will bring them back or turn the clock back to what might have been.

On the brighter side of life, we have Anwar convicted of Sodomy facing jail. We have Karpal Singh convicted of being Karpal. An incompetent loud mouthed lawyer.

Both had a fair hearing and were required to discharge their evidentiary burdens to clear their names. Both failed. Anwar because he believes he can walk on water. Karpal because he believes with a law degree he is a lawyer (And the best available in Malaysia).

The tragedy for both these misfits and clowns is that they cannot accept that those they consider lesser beings than themselves as politicians and lawyers have floored them in an open court and on the available admissible evidence against them.

If it was so clear cut they were in the right, they would not need fictitious foreign government funded sound alike organization like the ICJ (not the international court of justice but another highly political organization of paid former judges who call themselves the international commission of jurists) condemning the decision of Malaysia’s courts.

The pretend ICJ (international commission of jurists) have no sway, no judicial authority power or legitimacy other than their own moral standards to judge anyone by under international law. They have as much moral and legal authority in these matters of jurisprudence as the Ayatollahs in Iran have and as much legal force as the Ayatollahs.

To them (Karpal, Anwar and the other ICJ) we say. “Keep barking. The caravans have long since moved on”.

  9. Who are their leaders? All of pakatan leaders are not worthy to lead Malaysia. They are insensitive, uncouth, unrefined, no finesse, heartless etc etc.

Politics takes precedence over the lives of the rakyat.

    Down with pakatan.

  10. What’s scary to me is that I think these folks (the commentators) are not the paid RBA cybertroopers but hate-filled netizens. Everything they see is UMNO’s fault – and I do mean *everything*.

Sad to see people like this, so angry all the time.

    1. Those people angry all the time is one thing. Them telling and spreading lies all the time is another.

  11. It’s always UMNO’s fault.

    It’s UMNO’s fault Anwar ain’t straight

It’s UMNO’s fault the water is rationed

It’s UMNO’s fault world oil prices are up

It’s UMNO’s fault Russia is invading Ukraine

It’s UMNO’s fault Helen is blogging etc etc etc

And to think Christians are currently observing Lenten season. So much for being holy & God fearing people.

    1. It is always umno’s fault. What do u mean by qouting Christian’s season? We are honest and God fearing people unlike some holigans monkeys who only know to throw tantrum and tunjuk perasaan d jalanan especially on friday.

    2. What do you mean Christians? Are you implying that those comments up there came from Christians? For God’s sake, what does being a Christian have anything to do with that?

So now it’s always the Christians’ fault? Is being a Christian in this country so despicable that you criticize us like this?

Honestly, what does religion got anything to do with a Political campaign? To me whatever political side you choose is your own volition regardless of your religion.

  12. Sekarang kmunykinan besar MH370 di rampas ….
