2015: Will evil “racists” finally stand up to the Yahudi Yeohs?

Evangelistas perceive Islam as “the supreme nest of evil”

Evangelistas are splicing up our religious tolerance, said researcher Iain Buchanan in his lecture at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia on Wednesday (Feb 4).  The evangelical Christian movement perceives Islam as the supreme nest of evil, added Buchanan – pix below.

Chinese are favoured to be cultivated as Christian “prodigies”.

Their aim is to neutralize our country’s Islamic influence, he explained.

Ardent evangelistas in Malaysia are also trying to recruit the natives to Christianity on a large scale.

The bullet points above are summarized from ‘s report yesterday in The Mole titled ‘Foreign missionaries jeopardise religious harmony‘.

Flood and drought in Shandong, China a century ago were believed to be the fault of the Christian missionaries. In 1897-98, severe drought struck the coastal province, followed by flooding of the Yellow River.

The disasters were blamed on the religious practices of the Christians. It was a tit-for-tat as the missionaries demonized the locals who were hostile to the alien faith’s supremacist concept.

Christian zealots had “preached an uncompromising doctrine that regarded Chinese culture and tradition as the work of the devil”, said a Guardian article about the aggressive behaviour of the missionaries proselytizing in rural northeast China.

In 1899-1900, the calamities sparked an uprising of the poor, starving peasants. The conflict turned deadly on Christianity and killed 32,000 Chinese Christian converts during the Boxer Rebellion which started from Shandong.

Chinese Christians and their fatal provocation

“Christian missionary activities helped provoke the Boxers”, explained the Encyclopædia Britannica entry on the Boxer Rebellion.

Overzealous missionaries were behaving too arrogantly. Their “aggressive proselytizing” had “brought instability and social tensions” to China.

The Chinese people just did not want Christian missionaries in their country, period.

“By late 1899 the Boxers were openly attacking Chinese Christians and Western missionaries”, said Encyclopædia Britannica, and “killed suspected Chinese Christians on sight”.

Angry Chinese rebels stormed through the countryside “burning churches, killing missionaries and converts”, according to the About.com timeline. On 14 June 1900, thousands descended on Beijing and torched the city’s churches.

On 9 July 1900, the Governor of Shanxi executed 44 foreign missionary families, including children.

The Boxer Rebellion was not the first instance of the Chinese Christians being destructive troublemakers in China. Some decades earlier, a Christian convert had led the violent Taiping Rebellion (1850-64) against the Qing Dynasty that claimed an estimated 20 million lives.

It was a “radical political and religious upheaval” led by Hong Xiuquan.

Hong was a convert “who, influenced by Christian teachings, had a series of visions and believed himself to be the son of God, the younger brother of Jesus Christ, sent to reform China”, said the Encyclopædia Britannica entry on the Taiping Rebellion.

Chinese Christian converts were not only creepy, they were the Cult of Death who inflicted massive catastrophe on their own people.

China learned from her bloody history

No thinking country in the world will tolerate a clear and present danger that threatens its internal security. From past historical experience, Beijing has a fair idea of how the trend of Christian triumphalism will develop and the direction it might take.

Hence we see at the tail end of 2014 how the crackdown on evangelical Christians in China is being stepped up.

  • Four days before Christmas 2014, Christians clashed with Zhejiang authorities when council demolition workers tore down a church cross
    .
  • As of Dec 12, at least 426 churches had received orders for demolition or removal of crosses in Zhejiang
    .
  • Police stormed churches to force the removal of crosses in Wenzhou – a city with a large Christian population and dubbed the Jerusalem of China
    .
  • Beijing pastors under house arrest

China is taking a hardline against its Christian population that is growing rapidly at more than 10 percent each year. The Chinese authorities know well the psyche of the Chinese masses and are acting accordingly.

Expect Beijing to intensify its suppression of the evangelical Christians in 2015.

Christianity a strong destabilizing force in Far East

Apart from the Boxer and Taiping Rebellions in China, another bloody conflict involving Christian converts occurred in Japan.

First Tokugawa shogun Ieyasu had issued an edict denouncing Christianity and expelling Christians while second shogun Hidetada similarly expelled all Christians and banned Japanese from practising Christianity.

Japanese rebel leaderThird shogun Iemitsu of the Tokugawa clan continued and completed the anti-Christian policies of his predecessors. He “executed the remaining Christian missionaries in Japan”, according to Encyclopædia Britannica.

In January 1638, Iemitsu sent his army to quell the Shimabara rebellion in Nagasaki. Shogunate troops attacked the Christians who had openly revolted and fortified themselves in Hara Castle.

RIGHT: Christian rebel leader Amakusa Shiro was beheaded after his capture

All in all, 37,000 Japanese of the Shimabara peninsula were either killed, burned or executed in the siege of their Christian garrison by Tokugawa forces.

The early Tokugawa shoguns who were suspicious of Christianity had acted decisively to obliterate the existential threat posed Japan by its zealous Christian converts.

The Born Again Christians, especially those who discarded the beliefs of their Chinese forefathers in early adulthood, are simply religious zealots.

They inhabit a bubble where life (and politics) is viewed through a dichotomy of Good versus Evil.

They think that the “change” they promise, and the “righteousness” they’re so full of, will surely exalt the nation.

Other countries will take stern action against such provocative zealotry. But then again, other countries are not ruled by Parti Paling Tidak Apa and a clueless prime minister.

More Christians than communists in China

Through its preemptive strike, Japan – most wary of the subversive potential of Christianity – had successfully prevented the Christians from extending and entrenching their influence in the country.

The same cannot be said of South Korea though where today Christians far outnumber Buddhists.

A nervous Beijing under the more nationalist President Xi Jinping is also acting preemptively to preserve China from being swamped by evangelistas.

“Though the Chinese Communist Party is the largest explicitly atheist organization in the world, with 85 million official members, it is now overshadowed by an estimated 100 million Christians in China,” said a recent Breitbart article ‘Christians now outnumber communists in China‘ (29 Dec 2014).

Earlier this year, British daily The Telegraph noted that Liushi church in Zhejiang (‘Jerusalem’) boasts more than twice as many seats as Westminster Abbey, and predicted that its skyrocketing growth of Christianity is set to make China the “world’s most Christian nation”.

Purdue University’s Prof. Fenggang Yang believes that the number of Christians in China will swell to around 160 million by 2025. Thus in only another decade, China will have more churchgoers than even the USA.

Meanwhile, Singapore – a Chinese-majority island state – has seen the rise and rise of evangelical Christianity since the 1980s. The stadium-sized congregations of the City Harvest and New Creation mega churches come to mind; their tacky, neon-lit Gospel of Prosperity invoking the ambiance of Sentosa island casinos.

According to the World Council of Churches (WCC), “Singapore is a stronghold of the evangelical movement”.

Previously the missionaries “preached an uncompromising doctrine that regarded Chinese culture and tradition as the work of the devil”. This tendency of the newly converted Chinese evangelistas to demonize non-Christians is still very evident today.

The Gospel of Matthew is dear to the Nestorian church which had formed communities in ancient China with the favour of the Tang emperors, many centuries before the Roman Catholic missionaries arrived on its shores (who had regarded the Nestorians as heretics) The Nestorian Stele was erected in 781 AD documenting 150 years of their principles and practices in China, which were harmonized to the central concepts of Buddhism and the Tao Te Ching.

    1. The name Nestorius or Nestorian on a popular level is used to stigmatize. This name divides the world of Christendom into two groups. It was the differences existing between the Alexandrian (Roman Christianity) and Antiochian (Byzantine Christianity) bishoprics understanding of the nature of Jesus Christ whom Paul of Tarsus had proclaimed as a cultic Man-God whose blood was sacrificed to redeem the sins of all humanity. Bishop Nestorius had strongly disagreed with the Roman Catholic church decision to name the Virgin Mary “theotokos” (Mother of God). Nestorius insisted and rightly so as the Muslims do, that Mary is Christotokos (“Mother of Christ” or “Messiah bearer”) or Anthropotokos (“Mother of man”). He was unjustly anathematized by the Ephesus council in the 5th century AD and banished to the east for this controversy, but thereafter the Nestorian church would grow to become the largest evangelical venture in the East for many centuries.

Sergius the mystic Nestorian monk met the boy Muhammad s.a.w. when he was an adolescent on the caravan trade route to Syria. The old saint prophesied that Muhammad would one day be bestowed the Prophetic mantle; Sergius had witnessed a cloud cover following the caravan of Muhammad as it traversed the desert sands and so he invited Abu Talib and his tribesmen to a meal. When the group entered the dining area Sergius surveyed their faces but found nothing extraordinary; he was puzzled and asked if anyone in their group had been left out. Apparently, Muhammad had been left outside to tend to the camels and when he was brought before Sergius, the old man was very pleased to witness his beautiful countenance. He asked the boy to bare his body and true enough the birthmark between the boy’s shoulder blades convinced Sergius that here was the mark of the chosen one, al-Mustafa.

      1. What the Christians say,

“It is indeed alarming that Christians in Malaysia are being harassed and their right to freedom of religion being unconstitutionally curtailed in the so-called defence of Malay-Muslim rights.” – Jacqueline Ann Surin

        See, http://www.theheatonline.asia/VIEWS/Can-Malaysians-trust-the-system/

They portray themselves as the meek and mild Lambs of God. The Malays and the Muslims are the ones are invariably depicted as carrying out the harassment.

        1. Ms. Jacqueline wrote this among other issues in the quoted article above: “And let’s not forget how Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali was let off the hook for calling for the burning of Malay-language Bibles with the word “Allah”.”

Here is the actual context of Datuk Ibrahim Ali’s statement:
“A reporter asked me what was Perkasa’s view on the alleged distribution of Bibles and I replied that the parents should just seize the books from their children and burn it. This is so that the children would not be confused . . . I was only referring to the Bahasa Malaysia Bible which has the word ‘Allah’ in it, which was distributed at the school. I was not referring to all Bibles,” Ibrahim said, according to Utusan Malaysia.”

          http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/ibrahim-alis-bible-burning-defence-is-even-more-incendiary

Well, last week my friend who distributes religious literature put 20 copies of the Quran to the fire because there were a few typesetting mistakes in them:- some wrong diacritical marks and verse numbers. And this is basically the reverent Muslim attitude towards the integrity of our holy scripture and the holiness of ALLAH, Lord Creator of the heavens and the earth and all things in existence.

          1. All Praises and Thanksgiving be to Allah, Who has sent down to His servant (Muhammad ) the Book (Al-Qur’an), and has not allowed therein any crookedness.
          2. Straight , to give warning (to falsifiers) of a severe punishment from Him, and to give glad tidings to believers (in the Oneness of Allah), who do righteous works, that they shall have a fair recompense.
          3. Therein (in Heaven) they shall abide forever.
          4. And to warn those (trinitarians and pagans) who say, “Allah has begotten a Son (or offspring).”
          5. No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths [i.e. He begot sons and daughters]. They utter nothing but falsehood.
          6. Perhaps, you (O Muhammad) would grieve yourself to death, over their actions (in rejecting you), because they believe not in this pronouncement (the Qur’an). (Quran: The Cave)

God Most High and Merciful has vindicated and blessed the Unitarian disciples of Jesus Christ and the Jerusalem church. The Christian bible is a Trinitarian innovation of the Roman Empire by means of the pagan dogma of Paul of Tarsus. Please do not interfere with the traditional religious sanctity of the Malay faithful by demanding “ALLAH” in your Malay bibles to be used in your evangelization efforts among the Malays.

  2. Re Buoyed by China’s position as the world’s No.1 superpower, Chinese evangelical Christians in Malaysia are behaving way out of proportion to their actual clout.

This is a contradiction. They see China’s rise as an opportunity yet at the same time they despise their Chinese origins. The inferiority is there for all to see.

The truth is, an inferiority complex is at work here. If you want respect, especially if you want other people to respect you, the first, the most important thing to do is respect and honour your own culture, not by adopting the culture and values of an alien civilization and glorifying it to the extend that your own culture is sidelined, abandoned.

    1. There are many social problems and moral dilemmas in the emerging China superpower as they try to shed their Maoist background to reclaim their own forgotten heritage. You who are born here must make your own destiny with the people here.

      1. re: “You who are born here must make your own destiny with the people here.”

The Chinese here (even though they’re not themselves Christian) will generally prefer to side with the Christians rather than with the Muslims.

This is seen in their support for and allegiance with Christian over …

… the kalimah Allah tussle, ‘Allah’-Bible seizures, the JAIS raid on DUMC, the public display of crucifixes, antagonism to Isma, the Israel-Palestine conflict, the religion dynamics of Sabah illegal immigrants, Irshad Manji’s proscribed book, Reza Aslan’s disparaging comments and other issues touching on Islam/Christianity (e.g. proselytization, halal food, etc)

Hence I believe the schism (two clearly demarcated sides) is very real.

      2. Re You who are born here must make your own destiny with the people here.

Truth be told, many times over, most of these people do not think of themselves as citizens of this country. Thus you continue to hear about them talking about how they are treated as 2nd class citizens. Their inferiority complex is on full display.

Their worship of foreign culture and adoption of alien values are works of insecurity, insecurity because they have an identity crisis. One must ask this one question. Many of these people are products of Chinese medium education yet many of them are experiencing this identity crisis. What has gone wrong ? Is Chinese medium education now just a tool to help people make a living ?

Re This is seen in their support for and allegiance with Christian over …

Identity crisis. They need something they can identify with because they have largely abandoned their own indigenous heritage. Evangelical Christianity is the IN thing because it speaks what these people want to hear.

        1. re: “Their worship of foreign culture and adoption of alien values are works of insecurity”

Some who got rejected by the Western countries – such as Hannah Yeoh whose PR application was thrown into the rubbish bin by Tasmania – have turned into really confused, cruddy creatures.

We can imagine what damage the rejection inflicted on her psyche (and on her pygmy physical stature, compounded by yoyo-ing weight pula tu).

Hence her obsessive, compulsive need to label opposition Malaysians as “low class”.

        2. CONFUCIUS AND LAO TZU MEET ALONG THE WAY

Confucius and Lao Tzu met at a crossroad one day, as each walked a dusty and lonely path to his journey’s goal. Each aware of the other as a wise man, Confucius and Lao Tzu rested facing one another in the shade of a p’o tree by a brook.

After a period of quiet, Confucius sighed and said, “Alas! No one knows me!” He shrugged and said, “I do not blame Heaven, I do not blame men. I study things on the lower level but my understanding penetrates the higher level. It is Heaven alone that knows me.”

Lao Tzu well understood the loneliness and difficulty of bringing a message to the world. “My doctrines are easy to understand and easy to practice, but none in the world can understand or practice them,” Lao Tzu said.

Lao Tzu and Confucius discussed the difficulty of conveying their ideas to the people, and the limitations of language in conveying meaning.

“The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao,” Lao Tzu remarked; “He who knows does not speak. He who speaks does not know.”

Confucius nodded and said, “Does Heaven say anything? The four seasons run their course and all things are produced. Does Heaven say anything?”

Indeed, “Nature has few words,” Lao Tzu added.

They discussed about good government and proper relations between people. Confucius referred to Shun, the great Chinese ruler, who had employed the principle of wu-wei (principle of disinterested action) in successful government. “To have taken no action and yet have the empire well governed – Shun was the man! What did he do? All he did was make himself reverent and correct …”

Lao Tzu was delighted to hear Confucius speak such wisdom, thus he commented: “The sage rightly says: “I take no action and the people of themselves are transformed. I love tranquillity and the people of themselves become correct. I engage in no activity and the people of themselves become prosperous. I have no desires and the people of themselves become simple.”

Confucius, speaking of proper relations, said, “One who practices five things wherever he may be is a man of humanity 1) If one is earnest, one will not be treated with disrespect. 2) If one is liberal, one will win the hearts of all. 3) If one is truthful, one will be trusted. 4) If one is diligent, one will be successful. 5) And if one is generous, one will be able to enjoy the services of others.”

“Yes”, said Lao Tzu, “and I have three treasures: The first is deep love, the second is frugality, and the third is not to be ahead of the world. Because of deep love, one is courageous. Because of frugality, one is generous. Because of not daring to be ahead of the world, one becomes leader of the world.”

Confucius and Lao Tzu shared many ideas that day, and though the few who passed by thought the two men were at odds and quarreling, Lao Tzu and Confucius knew they were mutually opposite sides of the same circle.

Confucius said, “The superior man extensively studies literature and restrains himself with the rules of propriety. Thus he will not violate the Way.” But Lao Tzu, would reply, “Abandon learning and there will be no sorrow . . . when the great Tao declined, sophistry about humanity and righteousness arose. When such knowledge appeared, there also came great hypocrisy. When the six family relationships are not in harmony, then there will be recommendations to take care of parents and children.”

It seemed that Confucius advocated propriety and ritual to preserve the Way, while Lao Tzu blamed theories as the outcome of decline in understanding the heavenly Tao. How could such opposing views be integrated?

The reconciliation of opposites and the unity of all was known to both the wise men.

“Being and non-being produce each other; difficult and easy complete each other; long and short contrast each other; high and low distinguish each other; front and back follow each other,” said Lao Tzu. Confucius nodded in agreement and added, “A superior man in dealing with the world is not for or against anything.”

A balance of opposites is what both men produced, but few in the world could grasp the message. In silence Confucius and Lao Tzu gazed upon one another with empathy and respect. Then one quietly rose and left, the other remained.

Confucius continued down the dusty road and chuckled: “I know that birds fly, fish swim and beasts run. But dragons! I shall never know how they ride the wind and clouds to ascend to the skies. But today I met Lao Tzu – what a dragon he is!”

Lao Tzu, sitting still and humming to himself, watched the brook flow on.

  3. Dear Helen,
I’d like to add to your eloquent piece a few lines from a book “A World without Islam” (pg. 155) by Graham E. Fuller on a scary trend amongst Christian Right in the US called “Dominionism”.

    copied from page 155:
“According to the sociologist Sara Diamond, the defining concept of Dominionism is ‘that Christians alone are Biblically mandated to occupy all secular institutions until Christ returns.’ This version of Christianity transcends the realm of religion and enters into the secular realms of politics and even nationalism. Researcher Frederick Clarkson has characterised Dominionism as promoting a celebration of ‘Christian nationalism,’ urging that the United States return to its status as a ‘Christian nation’ in which the Ten Commandments play a central role in the legal system and governance. Books abound on ‘Christian patriotism.'”

I am not surprised if their more radical brethren in China, Malaysia and elsewhere will try to do the same with their master in the US pulling the strings.

Please leave us alone. Peace to All.

    1. The early Christians, known as The Ebionites (the poor) and sometimes Nazarenes (Some scholars believe the Nazarenes to be a different group from the Ebionites, others maintain they are the same)- were labelled ‘heretics’ and persecuted by the orthodox Roman church which had adopted the teachings and interpretations of their arch rival Paul of Tarsus.

Church father Irenaeus, wrote in “Against Heresy”:

Those who are called Ebionites agree that the world was made by God; but their opinions with respect to the Lord are similar to those of Cerinthus and Carpocrates. They use the Gospel according to Matthew only, and repudiate the Apostle Paul, maintaining that he was an apostate from the law. As to the prophetical writings, they endeavour to expound them in a somewhat singular manner: they practise circumcision, persevere in the observance of those customs which are enjoined by the law, and are so Judaic in their style of life, that they even adore Jerusalem as if it were the house of God.

What is really significant, from the Muslim point of view, is Dr. Barry Wilson suggestion that, the Ebionites survived until the Muslims’ conquest of the Middle East, when they [the Ebionites] were absorbed in Islam.

This can help explain why the Christians of Syria and Egypt were converting to Islam en-mass in the 7th. century AD. It is possible that, people who were in contact with Ebionites or, were Ebionites themselves, recognised as truthful, the revelation of the Quran.

  4. The Ministry of Education should review the burgeoning home schools that are being run or subsidised by the churches. Is the curriculum approved? Do these kids learn BM? I’m even afraid that they might be teaching Creationism instead of science.

One may say the CCP is oppressive to certain religious sects while being tolerant to others, but for the sake of peace and harmony – there are certain denominations that veer towards cult-like behaviour in all major religions.

Fact is, when these sects get called out for their bad behaviour – they spin it as an attack on their beliefs.

Asian culture with our emphasis on face saving and subtle communication has been unable to deal with the “in your face” style of propaganda; reeling from accusations ranging from old fashioned superstition (for conversion sake) to racist (for political mileage), unwilling to engage at the same level we tend to avoid or end up agreeing for fear of being ostracised.

But what goes up must come down. This ego fueled ascent will not last forever. I just hope to be still alive to watch that happen. ..

    1. re: “Fact is, when these sects get called out for their bad behaviour – they spin it as an attack on their beliefs.”

Absolutely. The Muslims must not allow the evangelistas to get away with their false accusation and whinging of “Christian bashing”.

It is not Christianity that is being ciriticized. It is the Yeoh behaviour.

      1. ‘Asian culture with our emphasis on face saving and subtle communication has been unable to deal with the “in your face” style of propaganda’

But when the Muslims decided to tag along, to be in your face too in their reactions, they were labelled as hardliners and deemed be banned.

        WTF???

        1. This is a perception game.. If you are a minority, you can frame it as “defending yourself” but if you are the majority, then you will be seen to be a bully.

Put it another way, it’s like a chess game where Muslims (being larger) can / should only make small steps because each step shakes the whole board but you are playing against a small but nimble player that makes many moves but each move is seemingly inconsequential until they add up.

You cannot win if you counter each mini move by itself because every move you make is like an earthquake. You must hold still first, observe observe observe until the time is right to make the crucial strike that can neutralise the threat without breaking the board.

That is the fate and responsibilities arising from the gravitas of Malay political power.

          1. The native majorities in Europe are restless and wary of immigrant minorities.

The spate of mosque arson in Sweden this week. ‘Far-right party helps to bring down Swedish government’, see http://euobserver.com/political/126789

Anti-immigration parties are now among the most popular. In Norway, a rightist populist party (Minister of Finance Siv Jensen’s) is in the ruling coalition. In Denmark, “immigrant” is often conflated with “Muslim”.

“In Denmark, next year’s election is expected to bring a record vote for the far right Danish People’s party (it won the highest number of votes in the recent European elections),” see http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/nov/30/hardline-australia-confused-scandinavia-and-tense-russia-the-global-immigration-picture

True Finns, Finland’s populist-nationalist party was the biggest winner in last year’s European Parliament elections held in May.

Across Europe, there is a strong tide of hostility against their Muslim immigrant minorities. The Christian vs Muslim antagonism is accelerating.

            1. Latest on UKIP (British far right party),

“Ukip has stormed to victory in the European elections, performing powerfully across the UK. It now has MEPs in Scotland, Wales and every region of England. It is the first time since the general election of 1906 that a party other than Labour or the Conservatives has topped a national election.”

If the far right is thriving in Europe, I don’t see why the same trend should not take hold in Malaysia. It’s the spirit of the times.

            2. ‘The Christian vs Muslim antagonism is accelerating.’

Absolutely, especially when we have the Yahudi Yeohs around.

‘I consider it a high calling to be an elected representative. Our job scope can be vague, our schedule is demanding and our responsibilities are broad and weighty.’

Helen, she MUST be talking to herself and herself only right? Right?

‘God created man or woman with a free mind and most importantly a free will. God allows us to make decisions and face their consequences. And if this timeless God Almighty does not see it right to force His ways down our throats, who are we then (politicians with a mandate restricted by a political term) to shove holy laws down the throats of our electorates?’

So her definition of God the Almighty is more apt than the Nik Aziz’s son?

‘Lastly, for the self-righteous politicians, there really isn’t a need to second-guess God. He’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women.’

              Are you kidding me?!

‘It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbour, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God. Anything else is beside the point.’

Self righteous indeed. Hannah Yeoh you have got this one, at least, right. Well done!

              1. re: “our responsibilities are broad and weighty”

She’s not talking about responsibilities, lah. “Broad and weighty” describes her midget figure.

              2. The pakatan rakyat is full of God’s agent-on-earth like Nik Abduh and Hannah Yeoh, competing with each other to talk for God.

                Its really scary.

                1. Ye ke, tak adalah, UMNO saja yang suka main religion card kut. Kalau tak percaya tanya MCA dan Gerakan. Kan? Kan Gerakan?

PR are perfectly fine. ABU all the way till kingdom comes!

          2. Absolutely.

Catch 22 situation. Ditelan mati emak, diluah mati bapa. Perhaps the Malay leaders, the great ones at least , know this and acted along this line. But as the saying goes, sabar juga ada hadnya. And the constant ‘bully’ on our values (Malays and Muslims) are extremely melampau to say the least!

As the Malays and Muslims come in many colours, God knows whether we will see another 13 Mei. Nauzubillah!

            1. re: “Malay leaders, the great ones at least, know this and acted along this line”

The president Umno has at this juncture is, most unfortunately, clueless. The shenanigans of Ah Jib’s bloated JPM and his PMO aides (which will cause BN to lose Putrajaya in GE14) are not on his radar … he’s so unaware!

That’s why A. Kadir Jasin and Zamkata are calling out the PM’s propaganda team that led Ah Jib to shoot his own foot over the costly “blogger Umno bangang” gaffe.

              null

              1. ‘PM’s propaganda team that led Ah Jib to shoot his own foot over the costly “blogger Umno bangang” gaffe.’

The pink baju and golfing with Obama while we are having our very own Katrina, is bangang indeed. Having the table turn, Obama would have it cancel or at least arrange to meet AJG at the club house instead, Anwar Ibrahim or otherwise.

                1. Imagine Ah Jib’s PMO boys picking a fight with the former Umno Info Minister and ex-group editor of NSTP who’ve got the reputation as “Mahathir’s men” as well as other media people known to be close to the other Tun.

Ah Jib Gor not being very smart. Just like he wasn’t smart either when during GE13, he allowed his many pol-secs to stand as election candidates – bungkus semua (every single one of them lost).

Ah Jib is sinking his media campaign, kena tembak left (oppo), right (Umno sendiri) and centre (non-partisans) plus stabbed in the back by Gunting. Habis lah.

                    1. Zam and Kadir are both retired and have time on their hands. Most importantly, they’ve got nothing to lose.

Ah Jib on the other hand has everything to lose.

First he shoots at “bangang” bloggers.

I got 18,480 page views in a single day when the ‘bangang’ story was highlighted on my blog. Compare J-Star Online‘s most read article – on Kiki Steering Lock – which got over 12,000 page views, ‘Kiki most viewed by netizens‘.

Ah Jib calling the bloggers “bangang” has massive impact and repercussions, and Syed Akbar Ali (OSTB) is now sinking his teeth like into a bone and nothing will make SAA let go.

Next Ah Jib’s proxies shoot at a former Info Minister (ex-Utusan group editor) and ex-NSTP boss.

Heh-heh-heh. Are Zam and AKJ anything like SAA? You bet! The bandwagon is getting overloaded … too many jumping on board.

‘”I am sorry to have to say this. Umno and BN can keep the PM and pretend that everything in fine, but they must accept the fact that the risk of them being chucked out at the next GE is immense,” he warned, adding that voters’ desire for change should not be underestimated.’

  5. “Christian missionary activities helped provoke the Boxers”

Same tactics being applied in Malaysia still.

‘Overzealous missionaries were behaving too arrogantly.’

Yet, when Muslim groups reacted, they were being labelled as hardliners! How la to converse like that???

    http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/in-2014-muslim-hardliners-crawl-out-of-the-woodwork

‘Their “aggressive proselytizing” had “brought instability and social tensions” to China.’

    Deja vu moment Malaysia.

‘Hong was a convert “who, influenced by Christian teachings, had a series of visions and believed himself to be the son of God, the younger brother of Jesus Christ, sent to reform China’

I bet, over some politician dead body, Pakiam, Lawrence and gangs believed that they were sent to reform Malaysia till kingdom come.

‘The Chinese people just did not want Christian missionaries in their country, period.’

Good for them. We should promote usaha pandang ke China with this one. I’m sure the ABU fellas won’t be so angry.

a-‘Dingqiao local authority tear down a cross in Hangzhou city on 19 Dec 2014’

b-‘During the Edo period, the Tokugawa shogunate had the Christians crucified and speared’

c-‘All in all, 37,000 Japanese of the Shimabara peninsula were either killed, burned or executed in the siege of their Christian garrison by Tokugawa forces.’

Yet we are the Talibans? Fuhh, these people memang ungrateful lots la. By far!

‘Other countries will take stern action against such provocative zealotry. But then again, other countries are not ruled by Parti Paling Tidak Apa and a clueless prime minister.’

Bingo. Banjir terburuk and decided to main golf pakai baju pink some more? Really. Tell Obama, ‘I’ll see you at the club house instead’! How much you are paying your PR guy again ahjibgor?!

    1. The very thing of one mortal Hong assuming to be Christ or any of his relatives shows deviant behaviour. The major cults of our time like the mass suicide cult or the Kelantan cult all of leaders who self annoint themselves as gods.

The sad thing is Chinese history still marks the Boxer Revolution as started by Evagenlists. Instead it should be Chinese cultist.

  6. Usaha pandang ke China.

‘ China is to publish online details of legal religious venues, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Saturday, apparently in an effort to identify unsanctioned groups as part of an effort to “root out illegal religious activities”.

Names and addresses for “all Buddhist and Taoist venues” would be published within two years, Wang Zuoan, director of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, told a conference on Friday, according to the news agency.’

I say, that is something for us to emulate!

      1. re: “A court jailed 21 members of banned religious group Quannengshen and executed two this year after members were accused of murdering a woman.”

Referring to the murder at McDonald’s by the group of creepy Christians who beat a woman to death with a mop stick.

So. It appears that that particular Christian evangelical cult has been banned and its members jailed by the Chinese authorities in Zhaoyuan (also Shandong province).

In Malaysia, our authorities pantau tarekat ajaran sesat but only the Muslims ones. The ones operating in Jerusubang escape official surveillance.

        1. ‘In Malaysia, our authorities pantau tarekat ajaran sesat but only the Muslims ones.’

Dah lama dah. Malays rileks ja. Tapi the ‘moderates’ bila kena batang hidung depa, baru nak riuh rendah satu kampung. Taklah moderates sangat sebenarnya!

‘The ones operating in Jerusubang escape official surveillance.’

Dr OKM mengamuk nanti Helen, mana boleh sentuh, nanti kena tuduh Talibanisation.

          1. My Malay friend said that maksiat and ajaran sesat in Malaysia are more prevalent among non Muslims as compared to Muslims because there is pemantauan by the religious authorities. I truly agree!

Ajaran sesat is not only to the Christian cultist but also the Buddhist and Taoist too. How many cases of fake monk and mediums who rape? Many.

            How does all this happen?

No structured religious administration. Again the notion of salvation can be bought. You can pay 10% to be a good Christian or you give your body to the God. This is what is lacking in non Muslims.

            1. re: “No structured religious administration.”

It goes to show that the (Malay) authorities have all this while been practising a hands-off approach to the religions other than Islam and allowing Chinese to administer our own affairs wrt faith matters.

Isn’t this the kind of “autonomy” that Penang is demanding more of?

              1. There is already so much autonomy by the gangs. With drugs, prostitution and serial killing at all time high, what more autonomy do we need in Pulau Pyongyang.

Thanksgiving comes early for the Yahudi Yeohs this year!

      1. It looks like Singapore is the capital of this evangelical cult thing. The 3 Koreans were of missionary background too. No wonder the Singapore gov is taking preemptive measures while our clueless PM is still pandering to the moderates who are busy plotting against his gov.

        1. Dictator,

Religion is a powerful weapon. Medieval Popes knew that too well. Popes for centuries used Christianity to control intransigent European monarch. Woe betide any King who dared to challenge the authority of Pope,. He would be condemned to hell(Excommunicate) for defying the Pope . Christian tradition styles the Pope as God’s representative on this planet.

Christianiity was used too to gain control of far away land. Spanish Conquistadors had no qualm in forcing Christianity on throats of natives in Latin America to Philipines. Portuegese forces too invaded territories in name of God.

Modern era also is affected. Christianity is used to raise hatred towards Muslim dominated government. Hannah Yeoh and species like her insist on using “allah” when the word never appears in bible, old or new King James version.

Never mind the fact that they refuse one school system. They insist on separate school when the norm on this planet is one school for everybody.

Never mind the fact that they love to put “Mandarin is preferred” when looking for new staff. They love to quote Indonesia has no problem with Christian using Allah. THEY PURPOSELY OVERLOOK Indonesia does not have separate school system.

Under strong no nonsense leadership of Tun (Hussein and Mahathir), this problem is under control. Tun Hussein simply chided them and offered to get their wealth in exchange of bumiputera status. Tun Mahathir during his tenure had no problem in locking those playing with racial issue under ISA.

But spineless leader like Najib loves the Chinese so much. He must get Chinese support though everyone on this planet knows that is a dream only. So Najib’s way is to pretend everything is OK.

Embolden by spineless leaders refusal to act, DAP ups its ante. It incites the Christians to think that they are treated badly simply because they are not allowed to use “Allah”.

Najib’s refusal to act forces the Malays to act on their own. ISMA, PERKASA are manifestation Of Malays thinking UMNIO as weak. najib continuous ignoring the issue put UMNO in trouble.

There is a solution. Change Najib or it will be GONE WITH THE WIND for UMNO. The next leader must act firmly on these DAP communists who paly to racial gallery just to drive wedge between Malays and Chinese.

As for Chinese, if they are so insistent in defending DAP, they are putting themselves on firing line. LITERALLY SPEAKING.

        2. You should read this kelakar blog. (This one was blasted by us all during MH370 time)

“Did you know that God has made an Air Asia plane flying into Singapore disappear with 162 passengers on board as a punishment for their sinful behavior? That’s right boys and girls, much like the Malaysian Air disappearance and crash, God has made a plane filled with mostly Inonesian passengers disappear. Why are planes carrying Indonesians disappearing more than any other types of plane? The answer is simple! The Indonesian people are a heathen people! They failed to keep Christ in Christmas, and now Christ chose to not keep their airplane in the air!”

The irony is that majority who died on the planes are Christians. This Christian blogger did not know ape shit when he wrote this on the 28th.

Maybe one of our Muslim readers can help enlighten us on what the Quran / Hadith or Islamic scholarship says in relation to events like this?

            1. This a long hadith Kak Helen and you may not want to publish it, but it has been often retold as demonstrating the compassion and justice of the Prophet’s Islamic message:

“I was one of the few Jewish leaders who managed to build up a good relationship with Muhammad, although I did not accept him as the Messenger,” reminisced Zaid ibn Sun’ah and he continued his tale:

“Muhammad left his home one particular day accompanied by his young cousin Ali ibn Talib. A Bedouin walked up to them and addressed the blessed Prophet, ‘Oh Messenger of Allah, in my village, a group of people have embraced Islam. I was the one who preached Islam and I used to tell them : ‘If you devote yourselves wholly to Allah alone, He will surely enrich your lives.’ But today we are suffering a long drought; our lands are parched and our livelihood is ruined. I am worried, oh Messenger of Allah, for they have been expecting progress and favours with Islam. I worry that their tribulations might cause them to abandon the faith. I hope you will intervene. Please do not delay your assistance.’ ‘The condition of these folks seems critical,’ Ali received the news sadly.

I was standing nearby listening to the conversation and my business instincts alerted me that here was profit to be gained. I therefore joined in the conversation uninvited, and suggested to the prophet, ‘Muhammad, it seems some new problem has arisen that requires immediate attention. I can help! Why don’t we agree on a proposition that will profit both parties?’ ’Explain yourself!’ replied the Prophet (saw).

“I will purchase the date-fruit harvest from the orchards of your associates at the price of 80 mithqaal of gold. You can have the payment right away if you consent. I will wait for my dates to ripen and collect my goods on a stipulated day.’ The Prophet (saw) stated his terms : ‘I agree on condition that you do not stipulate which farm it must come from.’ ‘We are agreed,’ said I.

Such was the deal I sealed with Muhammad. The Prophet received the gold and handed it directly to his Bedouin companion saying, “Distribute this money fairly and promptly. May every person receive assistance.” As for me, I looked forward to harvest time to take stock of my goods but as the days tarried on I received no notice from the sellers. Just a few days before the delivery date, I searched out Muhammad and found his disciples thronging around him. They appeared to have concluded the prayer for a deceased person and were waiting for the grave to be filled. I caught sight of Muhammad walking over to a wall and he was about to sit down to lean his back against it when I surged towards him and seized the loose end of his turban which straddled his shoulder and jerked his head backwards and I accosted him: “Hey Muhammad, when will you pay your dues!? By God, you hail from Abdul Mutalib’s family – it’s their habit to delay paying their loans. I’ve had bad experiences with them.”

But even as I shouted, my glance fell upon the flushed face of Umar ibn al-Khattab whose eyeballs seemed to be rotating like a wheel. His glare pierced me like an arrow. He started towards me shouting: “Woe to you, enemy of Allah! How dare you touch and slur the Messenger of Allah in front of us? If it was not for offending the Prophet, I would cut off your head right now!” His ferocity repelled me away from Muhammad – I was gripped by abject fear!

Muhammad was composed and quickly stepped in between us. He gazed at me and said gently, “Umar, he and I do not require the least of that behaviour from you. We both need something of a different nature.” Puzzled, Umar asked, ”What is it, oh Messenger of Allah? May the blessings of Allah always be with you.” The blessed one replied, “You could have advised me to settle my debts in a better manner and you could have counselled him to have more sympathy when demanding his rights.”

So Umar was instructed to harvest on that very day the dates which I had purchased although the promised deadline was days away. As we departed for the orchard the Prophet reminded Umar as he pointed at me, “Treat him courteously.” Umar carried out his duties exactly as instructed and I got my dates but he added to it twenty sha’ more of the fruit. I asked, “What’s this for, eh Umar?” He explained, “This is a bonus from him to you. The Messenger told me to serve you well so here is some compensation for my disturbing your peace.” I was taken aback : “What? And do you know who I am Umar?”
              “No.”
              “I am Zaid ibn Sun’ah.”
              “The learned Jewish elder?
              “Yes.”
“What could have made you behave so crudely towards the Prophet?”
I felt compelled to confess : “Umar, I have observed all the signs of prophecy for the end times in the person of Muhammad, and I desired to confirm all but two things about him: It is said that his forbearance cannot be ruffled by any tempest whatsoever; and it’s also said that the greater the ignorance of the individual confronting him, the more dignified and amiable he becomes. This day I have witnessed these signs and I believe in him. Henceforth Umar, I take Allah for my Lord. Islam is my Religion and Muhammad is my Prophet, may Allah bless and grant him peace. And I ask you to witness that I hereby donate half of all my wealth – and I am the wealthiest in Madina – for the betterment of the ummah of Muhammad.” Umar replied, “Why don’t you just say for a section of the ummah? After all it will never suffice everybody no matter how much you give.” I was humbled and corrected myself, “All right, . . . for the betterment of some of the ummah.”

We returned together to the Prophet, may Allah’s peace be with him, and in his noble presence, I professed my faith again: ‘I witness that there is no god but Allah the One Lord and Muhammad is His Messenger.’ “

        2. You should focus on what’s going to happen here if certain people continue to think that they can get away with their antics of constantly provoking other people.

Buddhists believe in karma, yet today these Buddhists are standing shoulder to shoulder with evangelical Christians in provoking Muslims. Sooner or later disaster will pay us a visit and we’re going to have to face the consequences.

          1. The same evil ones are tugging at the hearts of the people on both sides of the divide, driving them into confusion and hatred for the other. It is the work of the powerful psychic evil ones who wear the mask of religion..

            1. These people, with hearts so evil, you have to wonder, how they can go around town telling other people that they come bearing gifts, they have good intentions, especially Buddhists. Whatever it is that evangelical Christians do at the very least they are upfront about it.

Buddhists on the other hand smile at you and say good things yet in their hearts they think otherwise. We cannot call these people Buddhists for their way is in total opposition to the teachings of Buddhism.

                1. From personal experience although people may think this is make believe. But I’ll say it as it is.

A Chinese who is outwardly a devout Buddhist telling a Muslim that supporting the moderate movement helps Malaysians live peacefully yet the moment the Muslim is away he says that convincing Muslims to support the moderate movement strengthens the position of the Chinese community while undermining Muslim unity at the same time.

I say what I know. It is up to you whether to believe or cast aspersion on what I have already said.

                  1. re:

                    (a) “A Chinese who is outwardly a devout Buddhist telling a Muslim that supporting the moderate movement helps Malaysians live peacefully”

                    (b) “yet the moment the Muslim is away he says that convincing Muslims to support the moderate movement strengthens the position of the Chinese community while undermining Muslim unity at the same time”

The Chinese individual can’t be saying (a) and (b) both to you. So how do you know that he is saying two different things to two different audiences?

                    1. Re The Chinese individual can’t be saying (a) and (b) both to you. So how do you know that he is saying two different things to two different audiences?

Because he was and is still active in fund raising works for the opposition even though he says he’s not a member of any political party belonging to the opposition camp.

How ? He thinks I m with the opposition because I never made any disparaging comments on the opposition although I never made it known to him that I m against the opposition. Then again, would I say I m against the opposition parties ? Of course not, knowing how hysterical these people are so I just say my vote is secret.

Now back to the person. His outwardly display of devoutness is simple astounding but whether it is based on faith or otherwise only he knows.

Which is why I said that it is time to stop calling these people Buddhists. Calling them so is doing a disservice to the noble teachings of Buddhism.

                    2. I think I understand what you mean: For Chinese folks usually when you ask them what faith they submit to they’ll give the conventional answer that they’re Taoists or Buddhists. Actually many people are what one would call nominal religionists; many of my Chinese friends have never studied Tao Te Ching nor the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path of Gautama Buddha – they subscribe to a kind of subjective and vague perception of what the the religion consists. The majority have never lived on a vegetarian diet for even a month nor have they ever practiced breathing meditation and contemplative awareness of their mental states. How about the nominal Muslims? Do they ignore or neglect any integrals of their religion?

                    3. In that case, you have to ask Survivor how he comes to the conclusion that the Chinese individual he’s telling us about is truly a “devout” Buddhist.

                    4. Chris,

These people are just like the evangelical Christians. Devout outwardly but its for appearances. Every religion has these people.

What makes them so dangerous is that you can’t tell the difference between them and the real followers unless of course they reveal their fangs to you.

Be very careful when you are with people you know and barely know for it might turn out that you actually know nothing about them while thinking all this time you thought you know them while with strangers, even friendly strangers they might turn out to be charlatans.

                    5. Survivor, true, one cannot tell the reality inside a person from what he portrays of himself on the outside, but the sorts who are greedy and envious, and backbite and slander others probably don’t have anything good to hide about themselves. It has happened to me: I thought I knew a person as a friend well enough until i found out better what “friendship” means to him. However, I pray that God will chastise and guide me away from my own self-delusions.

            2. Just realised/discovered that ‘H A N N A H’ spelt backwards is the same. Talk about 180-degree pusing back.

  11. Did you read the article about new tourist attraction at Petaling Street replacing Chinatown?

    Kampung Banglasia.

    http://www.thestar.com.my/Metro/Community/2015/01/09/Street-of-foreigners-Petaling-Street-no-longer-seems-to-represent-Malaysian-culture-and-its-people/

“Despite its popularity, there have been a number of times in the past when people felt that it had become more of a foreign land than one representing true Malaysian culture and its people.

One recent local visitor to the tourist hotspot said she had encountered a rude foreign trader while trying to purchase a bag.”

I am sure all the Bangla voters all squat here – under the noodle stove, in the fridge, in the porn DVD stalls.

    1. They say No Malay, No Indian, Zero Chinese, All Malaysian. So why are they saying there’s Bangladeshis in Malaysia ?

  12. Firman Allah SWT dalam surah “al-Baqarah” – ayat 191 yang bermaksud:

“….. dan perbuatan fitnah itu lebih dasyat kesannya dari perbuatan membunuh …..”

  13. Zaid’s latest rant

    http://www.zaid.my/current/meeting-the-pm/

“The Prime Minister must withdraw his earlier statement that Malaysia is an Islamic state. He must affirm that Malaysia is a democracy, the kind of democracy his father helped to establish at our independence. He must let our judges know the importance and sanctity of the Federal Constitution. He must affirm his belief in the kind of democracy that helped Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia overcome many years of poverty and mediocrity to become the dynamic countries they are today.”

Malaysia is not an Islamic state ? Over 60% of the population is Muslim and it is not an Islamic state ?

Singapore, Taiwan, Korea. They became rich and developed before they became “democratic”. In Singapore’s case, it retains it’s authoritarian traits through it’s own version of the Internal Security Act. Taiwan and Korea are not exactly that “democratic” since their political processes are manipulated by big business interests thus their outcome, the politics is predetermined. Indonesia is a basket case. A near total failure.

    What a pathetic rant.

    1. There are nuances.

I believe we’re a Muslim country. I do not think Malaysia is a secular state.

However, I don’t see us as (full-fledged) an Islamic state as yet unlike, say, Pakistan whose constitution declares it to be an Islamic republic.

      1. Re However, I don’t see us as (full-fledged) an Islamic state as yet unlike, say, Pakistan whose constitution declares it to be an Islamic republic.

Just a matter of time before we become a full fledged Islamic state. Say thanks to the evangelists for their contributions. Maybe when it happens they will be conferred the title Tun.

        1. I agree. The Muslims, the non Pas Muslims like me must really thanked them. People like them and Eric Paulsen and the K-Pop organiser are ‘anugerah Tuhan’ in the truest sense. Just look at how the Gomen via Jakim and Jawi, and Umno and Pas and PKR and Isma and Ikram and Abim had got together voicing their concern in unity.

Nak insult Islam lagi, I say bring it on!

  14. Some time ago i was working in a British company. All the managers were Chinese except me, personnel manager. The GM was a British and he was bloody anti Islam.

I mixed well with the Chinese managers, we played golf, squash, tennis even swim together for training at company club. Had lunches together almost everyday. Yet there was an instance when there was a chance to make money all of them made a lot of money except me.

So i asked them why was I not informed of the apportunity they just smiled and walked off. No matter how close you are with them you are never their friend.

    1. What if it was the other way around?

Would the group of Malays inform the lone Chinese friend should an opportunity arise?

      1. Yes, been there, done that. At work, I thought I was working WITH them so I shared, (knowledge, projects, info, ideas etc) not realising I was working FOR them since almost all of them did not reciprocate.

Since I was taught from very, very young that sharing knowledge and wealth, is part of being a good muslim, it took me a long time to curb that inclination to share. My distrust and wariness of the Cina was a lesson well-learned from working in their company. But the Chinese (HK, mainland) I knew were not prejudiced.

        1. Re But the Chinese (HK, mainland) I knew were not prejudiced.

The mainland Chinese have a different mentality. They are a pragmatic and practical people. They work with anyone who can benefit them.

The Malaysian Chinese are different. Inferiority complex is part of their makeup. This inferiority complex is very visible in their display of “fear of losing”. Therefore they must do anything to “win”.

      2. My guess… possible, but not likely.

I think the same problem exists in Malay-dominated organizations. Civil service, GLCs. I think it’s very much a Malaysian problem. Ethnically-homogeneous groups tend to “otherize” individuals of different ethnicity.

I think what rossab described is a great example of “micro-aggression.” A phrase that’s picked up a lot of currency in the US now, after the Eric Garnier and Michael Brown deaths.

Not an overt form of discrimination (Bruce Lee, Fist of Fury, “No Dogs And Chinese Allowed”) but a subtle one. “You’re different.”

The implication in rossab’s example is that rossab wasn’t invited because he wasn’t “one of them.” Double-whammy because he’s not Chinese (majority of the managers) and he’s Muslim (anti-Islam boss.)

  15. I’ve always thought that dapsters particularly LKS, only like the first PM. I thought they were not too keen on Tun Razak for “toppling” Tunku over the 13/5/69 riots.

So imagine my surprise at this –
    http://blog.limkitsiang.com/2015/01/15/malaysians-should-remember-the-first-three-prime-ministers-tunku-razak-and-hussein-as-under-them-there-was-no-question-whatsoever-that-malaysia-is-a-liberal-democratic-multi-racial-secular-state/

And TMI interviewing the 4 sons of Tun Razak – priceless. The people at J-Star must be green with envy.

    1. The Chinese in Malaysia deserve better leadership than the hypocritical destructiveness of LKS, his son and their evangelista mentees. They’re sending the Chinese community here to hell in a handbasket.

      1. While the blogger 書 政 is ranting at you again in his latest rant.

What you say is true but in our current political atmosphere it is not wise to engage them in a rational dialogue especially the younger generation of Chinese. They are drunk in the CHANGE promised by the evangelist cult and you can be sure that come 2018 they will attempt another CHANGE.

Those who truly love their community, this country, they must make provisions for themselves and their families. If CHANGE happens woes be unto those who reject CHANGE, people like you Helen will be the first the proponents of CHANGE come after. It will make the sort of harassment you face now look like a picnic.

      2. re: “The Chinese in Malaysia deserve better leadership than the hypocritical destructiveness of LKS, his son and their evangelista mentees.”

“Leo Strauss is the father of the Neo-Conservative movement, including many leaders of the current US administration. Strauss, born in Germany, was an admirer of Nazi philosophers and of Machiavelli. Strauss believed that a stable political order required an external threat and that if an external threat did not exist, one should be manufactured.
[ So the Pakatan alliance needs a scapegoat like Perkasa over an extremely questionable charge of violating Bible scripture ]

Strauss taught that religion should be used as a way to manipulate people to achieve the aims of the leaders. But that the leaders themselves need not believe in religion. The Straussian playbook is to stir up religious sentiment – even if you are personally an atheist – to create and demonize an “enemy”, so as to promote war …
[ It really doesn’t matter to the politician what the proper noun ALLAH really denotes about the Creator, as long as their scriptural campaign continues to stir up very strong emotions in the believers and impels them into adversarial partisan camps ]”

        1. Malays have been accused of bigotry and extremism but our traditional conviction has always been that there is no compulsion in religion where truth must be clear from error, and he who guards his faith in Allah the Truth and gives the lie to Mammon shall have taken a firm handhold to the Lord that shall never break.

Imam Shafi’i a jurist and traditional scholar of Islam, asserts that if people followed the counsel of the Quranic surah Al-Asr (Time), it was enough guidance for humanity towards righteousness:-

In the Name of Allah Most Compassionate Most Merciful

{1} By the passage of time through the ages; {2} surely mankind is in loss, except those of faith and who do good deeds; {3} and exhort one another to the truth of things, and exhort one another to patience and equanimity.

      1. Nazir CIMB Razak is a Firster. Perhaps DAP wants to curry favour and take advantage of his liberal slant.

      2. It is not the middle way of religion they are after, but they moderate human values and social relations according to the ways of worldliness they see fit.

  16. Hannah Yeoh launches biography

    http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2015/01/10/Hannah-yeoh-biography/

Re “In the beginning, all I wanted was two things – fight corruption and race-based politics. After seven years in politics, I am more determined than ever,”

    l o l But of course…………….exalting mediocrity.

Re “This book is an honest journey, sharing my experiences and frustrations as a young 29-year-old Malaysian who entered politics,

l o l after all the money and Prada she’s still a frustrating person.

Re She also expressed hope that she could become a role model, be it in politics or any other sphere of life, and recognised as someone who did her work with passion and without fear.

A role model ? She meant a vicious role model ? Indeed she is a very passionate person and without fear judging by the way she attacks her opponents. Low class, racist, bigot wow !

    1. re: “We need to engage and to dialogue with the ignorant and bring about understanding. We need to forgive and to reach out in love especially to those who misunderstand and are misinformed,” said Bishop Leow who is also president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Malaysia.”

Let the “ignorant” know above all that : there is no deity worthy of worship other than Allah the One and Only Lord of all creation, Who neither begets nor is begotten; and Muhammad is the Seal of
Divine Prophecy, first of creation, light upon light, a mercy to all the worlds.

      Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

          1. Yes big business and day by day more people sign up to become their sales agents. If this goes on without any concrete action by the authorities habis lah.

          2. I’m surprised that there has been no publicity given to this talk. Thought TMI and MM would be putting this as front page news and my Facebook page would be filled with righteous indignation . ..no?

Must be true then. Heh heh

  17. Ms H. Since I do not understand what SHE SAYS, THESE JUMPIN LOUD MOUTH BEANS MIGHT AS WELL JOIN THE PKR, a party more suitable for their platform.

    1. Uncle Ed,

Seriously, what do you propose to do to combat the “jumpin’ loud mouth beans”?

Think about how you can effect some kind of concrete action.

  18. Ms H, These holy jumpin beans from South Carolina, US of A are actually in the wrong political group which homeland oppresses them. They should be in PKR which is probably becoming more acceptable to most.

    1. But in DAP, they are able to hold the reins of leadership whereas PKR is led by Muslims (Malays) and has a bigger Hindu (Indian) membership.

      1. Ms H. The Singaporean Trojan Horse DAP draws its inspiration from its homeland which practices the godless Ultra Communistic political and social System imposed on the citizens by the Ruler 1959 – 2015 implemented by Apparatchiks disquised as dysfunctional meritocrats.

The jumpin beans from the Deep South will never reach the controls of the DAP. They are being used like the Leftists and the Communists in the old PAP. The FAMILY DYNASTY OF PAP DID NOT GIVE AWAY CONTROL. THE FAMILY DYNASTY OF THE DAP WILL NOT AS WELL. It is a profitable and rewarding family business which will lasts 3 generations. Vide. 2014. ” The 10 Big Ideas of Lee Kuan Yew.”

All the Apparatchiks including the ex-President and the ex-Chief Justice kow-tow in a Festschrift to the Boss. Where is the separation of the Powers ? And the latest publication. 2015. Tan Sri Kadir Mohamad.’ Malaysia-Singapore 50 Years of Contention. 1965-2015. The first and the best. Watch their lips !

Further, President Obama in a CNN interview with Zakaria Fareed, said tellingly, ‘SOME OF OUR AUTHORITARIAN ALLIES DO NOT MAKE UP TO OUR TEST OF DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS.’
Jumpin Beans its time you jump to PKR before it is too late !

      2. Ms H. The PAP was founded in 1955. From 1956 – 1962, there were riots and demonstrations against the incumbent British Colonial Government by leftist unions and Communists. In 1962, our great Tunku sent down the highest ranking Chinese Adviser on Counter-Insurgency to the Federal Government, Tan Sri Dr C.C. Too to meet and advise the Ruler 1959 – 2015 and the Commissioner of Police, George Bogaars for 2 solid days. Operation Coldstore was the result. The leftists and the Communists were jailed.

Does this remind you of the present with the jumpin beans who are jumpin on behalf of somebody in the firmament Ms H ?

  19. Re Chinese are favoured to be cultivated as Christian “prodigies”.

The crux of the issue. That they see the Chinese as nothing more than puppets that they they can manipulate to do their bidding. And more and more Chinese are doing their bidding by embracing this evangelical movement.

    1. Manipulated or not, the reality is all these Christian movements are quite persuasive. Vunerable folks are tempted to convert because they were offered solace, friendship and things like that. Who are those vunerable folks? People who are poor, people who have relationship issues, people who have lost their jobs recently, people who have financial problems, people who have depression and so on. And vunerable people doesn’t belongs to one race only. Chinese is an easier target because most are not brought up in a religion-concious environment (my religion is “to be free from all the trouble in this world”).

Meanwhile, I took a quick random look at some of HY’s twitter followers few weeks ago while meandering in the cyberspace (not going to mention the name here). One person caught my eyes and lead me to that person’s blog (I call that person B). Glancing through B‘s blog show that B is quite active in participating missionaries outside the country. B went to places in Myanmar where B lead a team to setup mobile clinic in areas like slums, monastry and orphanage and ran workshops and things like that. They even collected money to fund a boy’s surgery to correct his very serious cleft palate. So if you are that boy, how would you feel?

The other day, I just realized that this World Vision is an evangelical Christian organization (it’s logo is a light sparkle but when examined closely, its sparkle actually resembles a cross). I know one or two of my peers donated money to them (to “sponsor” a child in Africa) but I’m sure they don’t know the background of that organization. How do you not donate to such organization if you’re persuaded?

  20. Hi Helen, Zaidi here, I would like to add that during the public lecture Iain Buchanan mentioned that the upper echelons in the Evangelical movement also deemed, ‘Allah’ is a high ranking demonic spirit, which I seriously doubt Hannah knows it.

(Sorry I did not wrote that part, probably because I don’t want to deal any more damage to the presently fragile inter-religious harmony in our country…plus It’s just doesn’t seem right for me, but since this is a blog so It’s okay…I guess) PS: thanks for featuring my report in your blog :)
