$tar pun ada Godfather-Warlord? / Adun mana yang “tidak langsung nampak muka”? (kemaskini)

Kemaskini

(kemaskini)”

Agenda media Cina memastikan MCA akan KO

Adakah suratkhabar Cina membawa agenda? Pasti.

Bukan saya yang kata. Kesimpulan ini dibuat hasil sebuah kajian ilmiah bertajuk ‘The Media and Public Agenda among the Malay and Chinese Communities during the 2008 Malaysian General Elections’ yang dikeluarkan bulan lepas oleh dua orang sarjana tempatan.

Zina, ‘potong’ and the suckers born every minute

PAS’s Tok Gurus have repeatedly stated that the prime minister must be Muslim.

Dr Chua Soi Lek caused a verbal flap when he remarked that Kim Guan Eng must “potong” (berkhatan) should the latter wish to become PM. His comment was predictably highlighted by those media indulging their readers’ favourite pastime of taking potshots at the MCA president.

Harakah was not tardy either to get in a dig by bringing up what the party organ dubs Dr Chua’s “tryst with prostitute“. Continue reading “Zina, ‘potong’ and the suckers born every minute”

VS: What do the Chinese want, really?

Reported today in The Star:

“As up-and-coming new face Rowena Yam pointed out, the plan not only addresses the economic gap between island and mainland, it also addresses the aspirations of the Penang middle class.

Penang has a large middle class that is very private sector driven. The features of the plan has particular appeal for this group,” said Yam.

Vernacular School: Learning Tamil

Before we begin the discussion on SRJK (C) in my vernacular school series (following on which will be titled ‘VS’ in the header), this is a prelude.

I don’t have much to say on Tamil schools since I’m not qualified to comment. Only that if Chinese insist on our Chinese schools, then by the same token, I can understand if Indians want to keep Tamil schools going.

They’ve put Tunku Aziz in rubbish dump with Hee Yit Foong et al

Below are screenshots of the Malaysia Chronicle front page today as well as the news portal’s article on Tunku Aziz.

Gobalakrishnan.

“Anyway, heavy breathing and veiled warnings are de rigeur modus operandi for politicians and their aides on both sides of the divide,” balas seorang pembaca Rocky manakala seorang lagi menambah, “It all comes with the territory”.

Guan Eng accused “BN-controlled media” of exploiting Buddhist bodies to run down Penang govt

The headline above is an accidental walk down memory lane.

On Saturday I blogged how Lim Guan Eng, Lim Kit Siang and the DAP in their websites as well as the Hannah Yeoh blog and the DAP Subang Jaya Facebook failed to wish Buddhists a happy Wesak Day.

A reader calling himself ‘Tao tze’ left a comment asking Continue reading “Guan Eng accused “BN-controlled media” of exploiting Buddhist bodies to run down Penang govt”
